Will I get penalized for reposting own content?

Will I get penalized for re-posting my own content for some reason? Just started a new account and was hoping to recycle my posts for a while to see which hashtags work, maybe get few followers during that etc.
Will Instagram notice I reposted my image and won't show me on hashtags? What are the downsides of doing this?

Could only find info about reposting other people's content, but I am not into that.

i dont think so. afterall there is no monetazion in instagram. no use to implement it. there is many big account reposting news from other people and they are just fine

By my experience, it will not cause any issues.
First of, half of Instagram is duplicated content lol.
Secondly, I manage the Insta account for our business and sometimes my colleagues post the same content and we never had problems.

I usually repost my content on Instagram, but I do edit it a little before reposting.

if it is your own content there is no problem, on the other hand if other accounts upload the same there if they punish you
