I'm liking the England squad at the moment and truly believe England can win it.

I just placed a small bet on England to win at 10/1 and Wayne Rooney who has yet to play to be player of the tournament at 100/1

I was thinking to choose Theo Willcott as player of the tournament at 50/1 but I believe Rooney will come back to try and prove his position.

What are your thoughts? Do you think England will win?

Rooney needs a run of 4 - 5 games to get fit. England have a better chance without him. Plus that dodgy hair transplant is doing him no favors!

As a Englishman, not a chance in hell.

Sweden is not a world power in football yet we still struggled to get a result. Wellbeck's goal was complete fluke he was trying to control it but Walcott's goal was great.

Question is can we really rely on our center backs to mark players from the best teams on the planet if we progress to the knockout stages? Look how they scored the second goal, 3 men unmarked and a free header.

Against France we worked hard but lets face it we were lucky to come away with a draw. We can thank Mr Hart for that.

As for player of the tournament my money is going on Gomez or Torres. I can see the Germans winning it.

I will eat my hat if we win.

Wow, Have faith in your country man. The 2 goals from Sweden were because England were not composed and at the end of the day England beat them.
England should have won against France if it wasn't for Hart letting in an easy goal.

I think the pitch size of Kyiv as ridiculous.

I predict 4-0 to England against Ukraine.

If England finish 2nd in the group, which is very likely, they'll play Spain.

You think they'll get past Spain? No chance.

England won't win this and that ain't because I am Scottish!. It's simply because the Germans already have one hand on this trophy.

Germany is very strong but not sure if they can pass Spain.
Germany will win the 2014 world cup in Brazil for sure. They will be much more mature but for now, it's still at a level where Spain and even Italy can give trouble.

No, England will most likely not win the tournament. And no, it is unlikely that an English player will be player of the tournament either.

I bet that the winner is one of Spain, Germany, Italy or France.

Player of the tournament could be Mario Gomez or some attacking player from Spain, maybe Iniesta or Silva.

Its not a question of faith, I have always followed and supported England but you need to be realistic.. I have seen us time and time again be hyped up into something we are not only to fail miserably.

France were more comfortable going forward, had better chances and looked like they wanted to win. England got the goal and wanted then sat back and parked the bus. The French 60+% possession proved that. If we do that against a team like Spain we will get torn to pieces.

I do think we will get the draw or win needed to go through but as it stands it looks like we will be meeting Spain, unless we win 4-0 like you said. If we get knocked out in the quarters I think that is a respectable result.
