Will a better router improve my ethernet connectoin for posting with Mass Planner?

I recently got 2 new routers to replace an old one.

Since then it seems like mass planner and follow liker don't perform as well.

I have a PC connected to an ethernet cable, connected to a router, which is connected to my modem.

If I were to get a better router would this make my ethernet connection stronger?

This might be a dumb question... I just have no idea
