? You must start thinking and acting like Asians ? Africans ? South Americans et al ? they have to work they have no support to fall back on!

? Here guess what the benefits of working are massive ? all over Asia you will find men and women working until 80 or 90 years of age plus they are happy and contented! They fully accept that there is no other way?

? Do you think a ?Fat F**k!? laying on the couch all day ? eating McDonalds junk food - paid for by state handouts ? is going to be alive at 80 or 90 years of age

Oh it's just to foster conversation.

The thread is as much a reality as it is a word of advice: When you succeed, how you behave will show you who you really are. If you stop working, you were always lazy. If you change behavior, you were always a snob.

Work is exercise. Staying fit, mind-body-spirit, is the key to longevity. The toughest thing to do is to break inertia and get started, and the most painful thing to do is to suddenly stop(like a car crash). It is much better to have never begun than to start and then quit prematurely. If you have it in you to start something, walk forward and do not turn back, and you will see just how far you can walk.

True: No work=No money, but you still have to find a smarter way of working though

You have probably misinterpreted him. He was most probably looking out for opinions of fellow Blackhatters.

And hey Steel, awesome post. I'm an Asian and I'm aware of the shit people have to go through in order to run their families. They have to work endlessly without any holidays for months together because that's what they go to do in order to survive. For them, it's like, If you don't work hard, you don't have any other option but to die, so people never lay back and become couch potatoes. They sweat and give their best because for them it's not about winning or losing, but the fight for survival.

Those who fail because they don't take actions must learn a hell lot of things from these fellas. Winning or losing is passe; if we start living every moment of our lives for survival, then nothing can beat us down. We become a man on a mission. Mission to survive.

If you can't love work you can't love life. Being productive and accomplishing is what makes life great.

At the same time, Americans have a very twisted view of "work." Work to most Americans is 40 hours each week doing something they hate for someone they hate and gaining no sense of accomplishment from it. Of course they are looking for a way out... most are just not creative and driven enough to do it, which is a biproduct of being raised by the American public schools. Ironic, or planned?

I dont agree.People in Asia ,Africa ,south america have it easier because they need to be less productiv as they need a way lower income compared to north americans and europeans.Also try to plant some food on land which doesnt belong to you.You will see how fast the police will come.In these countries the police wont come so again an advantage.Try to collect wood for fire in the forest in western countries.You will get very quickly a punishment but at the other countries no one cares.You can create yourself your job out of nothing even out of garbage which is in western countries not possible if you want to live on a normal level.

So in an non good working econemy western people are way more limited than people at poor countries also thanks to the high taxation

Teaches people they can have something for nothing, and also teaches people that if you produce extra, the quality of someone else's life will be improved.

Actually its BS that you have to work 40 hours per week to make money, you will need this only when you start, after that you can earn a very nice amount with only 1 hour per day.

You know, and this is touchy, but we can't always blame people for choices they make.

Please bear with me on this before flaming me for not supporting personal responsibility 100%. I'm speaking directly in terms of the Nanny State idea.

It is in the interest of the Nanny State to have people dependent on it, otherwise its existence as a Nanny State would be short lived. Stifle education to the point where people don't even know there are things they don't know(or they don't care anymore), reduce their ability to get a skill for employment, give them bread and circuses to keep them fed and entertained while almost guaranteeing their political support for you. These people don't have access to modern medicine or education, but are rife with religious instruction, so they have more kids who will be in a deeper hole than the parents were and will be a more entrenched support base for the current administration that gives these poor, uneducated, forgotten people their only means for survival in a city within a country where everyone else is also in the same boat with no neighbor to help them get out of it.

The lazy people in a Nanny State are a product of their government, not a choice. There are unemployed people all over the world, but those in areas where their community has been let down by those in charge of maintaining it always appear to be enjoying their poverty at the behest of those paying for it. Humans don't behave like that, it destroys them inside, unless something has already destroyed their sense of humanity from the outside.

I am not working 40 hours per week.. But I have better earnings with IM than when I have a 9-5 job before...

Success is relative, surely, but if you can make the money from 40 hours working in 5 hours, does the amount you could make by maintaining your 40 hour work-week discipline not seem appealing?

Exactly. I hate my country's politics so much. It's basically communism, except lazy people don't even have to work. Which creates even more lazy people. And these people believe they deserve all the "evil rich people's" money. Which doesn't mix well with democracy...

If you don't fucking work or create value at all, you don't deserve anything. Not even food.

Working 5 hrs/day is not difficult at all, working 15 hours is difficult!

I've tried it and succeed!

But, unfortunately I did it when I had left only $4.33 in my pp account.

Laziness is a bad thing, always trying to overtake it, but it's hard, incredibly hard!

Do what inspires you, listen to music, watch a good movie, kiss your girlfriend, masturbate, do anything !

I am outraged by the way my country has become. People only want handouts, and they expect others to give it. Everyday I see people with signs begging for money outside every store. I offer a meal and/or work, and they refuse. They just want to get their welfare, feed their kids energy drinks and other unhealthy foods, and they want to milk everything they can. Yet these people have smart phones, the latest electronics, and anything else they can spend their money on. It is a sad society here is the US.

Btw Steel, don't you think he might be talking about outsourcing rjob. I had read Tim Ferris's novel, "4 hrs work week", wherein he talked about making others work for you and making money from them. What's your take on that?
