Why some gifs website with non seo urls

Hi

I was wondering why some gif websites like 9gag have their urls in this format "xyz. com/gag/aR0Ajrj" rather than "xyz. com/gag/funny dog video compilation"

Is there any SEO advantages having urls like that?

Avoiding spamindex i think. Imagine cannibalism on that and also they don`t pretty care about serps, is a brand, working best with viral + social ; not search engines.
