Why SB sucks

First, he is entitled to have his own opinion about anything.

Secondly, rethink your posts before you post them because you can easily get the new people here to get more and more frustrated. And this is not user-friendly on your behalf.
It takes time to learn how to use scrapebox and any other software. It is a lot more than just a blog commenter and it requires patience which OBVIOUSLY you don't have.

With respect to your opinion, this thread whispers "I bought scrapebox and I thought I'd be at page #1 within 3 days, for $60 only".

Well, my friend; This is not how it works.
 
I get 500 posts per hour with scrapebox. Not slow at all. I can build 5,000 links in a day or 2.

I have tried a few of FREE tools people posted on this forum, and you can actually get better results combining them then from SB.

Even if you just bought Scrapebox as a source of inspiration it'd be worth every dollar.

lol take 5 minutes and learn how to use the damn thing, the limit for the rapid indexer is over 1million which you shouldn't really need anyway, the slow poster is for accuracey while your not at your computer. And the errors are your own fault for scraping so much most likely non targeted spam, without a break.

Stop whining and start working.
 
I completely agree with the OP. Scrapebox and other backlinking/posting tools like that are a waste of time.

I recently conducted an experiment. I took two blog posts fro my blog focused on the same keywords and with similiar titles. I set up an Xrumer blast on one of the posts for 500 backlinks. I then wrote 10 articles and submitted them to Ezine Articles, ArticlesBase, GoArticles, WorldVillage, and IdeaMarketers and linked them to the other post. The second post made it to page 1 (7th position) of Google in two weeks with it's 50 quality backlinks. The second post with it's 500 Xrumer backlinks is currently on page 27 of Google.

You do the math.

Google is onto those tools. It makes me laugh how so many people think they are getting ahead of the game by using them.

The simple fact is that good old fashioned quality backlinks and hard work will outperform those spam tools all day. That's how it's always been and that's how it will always be. Scrapebox and Xrumer are comparable to get rich quick schemes. they promise a lot for a little work and don't deliver. In the end, all they do is take your money and leave you with a false sense of security and hope.

Why not sell your own software here? If your software is better than scrapebox you can make a lot a money with it.
 
SB is a pretty good piece of software for the price. There are a few things that could be done better, but with the periodic updates on it I really can't complain to much about it. Yesterday morning G was limiting multi-threaded scrapes to only 100 and by last night they had an update and fixed it. But anyway.. it's all how you use it and how you work. If you have something that works better, by all means use it, and share it. :)
 
I understand it's just 50 or so with the BHW discount. Pretty sad to bitch about spilt milk I'd say.

Reading some of your posts makes my head hurt. dracony is right on what he wrote. Scrapebox is a good software but I think it's overrated. As some of you said it's a major time saver and on the other hand it's not:

- You always need to select paths to names, emails and websites (this could be saved)
- Crashes alot
- 500 threads limit is just stupid (could easily be up to 2k+)

As a developer myself I can say that the commenting part of scrapebox could be a lot faster, it would also be better with more than 500 threads (Currently I am running 5 SB's on my dedicated).
 
It has taken me a long time to tune all the knobbs and switches on my install of scrapebox. The past few days it has worked day and night. Three days and some stop and starts but I know have over 60k new spun links visible with over 160k of successfully posted.

That for is good enough for the $60 something I paid for it with my BHW discount.

Yes its slow and crashes, but everything on Windows is slow and crashes :)
 
Scrapebox sucks compared to what?

Is there a BETTER program that meets all these complaints and does a better job?

If so, please paste a link.
 
There's definitely a learning curb with SB. I'm still a noob with SB and tinkering with it, all the controls, tuning, running some campaigns, etc. Hopefully will figure things out as I go along.

It sounds like your entire problem weighs on PRIVATE PROXIES.

Get them from the site that is recommended by Scrapebox itself, and you will not have any more problems:
