Why quora results so high in Google ?

because its a big authority site, they always rank well and fast.

Authority + vast number of topics + answering questions + user engagement

and they keep growing without depending on Google

A few years ago Yahoo Answers appeared very easily on Google (at least in my country), today it was replaced by Quora...great authority, a lot of traffic, high engagement and answers to frequent questions are always welcome by Google

I think Google algo has special treatment for these websites Quora, Pinterest, Reditt so that the algo looks if there is any content indexed from these websites that matches user's search intent, then algo favors these websites.

Like pinterest is favored when search intent is to get inspiration by looking at images.

It's easy... links.
1. People mention quora and wiki when they do guest posts
2. Spam links as too many people build links to them.
Same for reddit... people post a link and then spam it. As google will not penalise those big sites, they will only grow with all the spam thrown at them.

Quora is Google's little brother, it's not just a website but the key to many Google's problem: answering questions. I believe Google created a special algorithm to for quora. And you should know it Google dont usually rank first, it's mostly between third and the 5th position,I believe it's like that because Google think if you cant find an answer to your question on the first few sites, then you can find what you are looking for in the answers posted on by individual on quora.
As for me when I search for questions on Google, I prefer answers from quora

It's a big authority website, in almost every niche. At least in the eyes of Google.

Quora posts helped boost my rankings on 1 site I love them. I do all types of links, lots of content, but you can target quora in ways like: Wait for a good bit of response to a popular question, maybe 5-7 answers... then come in afterwards & intellectually annihilate all the answers before you. With the best answer possible. Make it fear inducing, relieve fear, drop link. Get those natural upvotes. Do 10 more links mixed with others over a couple months. Like mixing good quora links naturally placed with reddit or other accounts you work over time. Natural link placement just means the most covert link placement you can execute in real life. That is both natural, covert but appealing. Using as much emotions as possible to sell whatever TF you are selling.

Constantly updating content keeps the activity alive and the number of users and followers to the questions keeps it alive in the eyes of Google over say a wikipedia which does not get interaction to this extent. Backlinks to quora are more genuine compared to other backlinks that can be build with a paid effort.

Quora authority matters a lot and people get to know as much as possible answers to a single question.

Back-links to quora are more genuine compared to other back-links.

Why quora results so high in Google ?
First it's a high authority site (>85 da) so it can outrank sites with low da.
Second it has a lot of visitors. When they publish a post a lot of people click it, so in a couple of minutes it can receive more visits than a post of other website posted for weeks.
Third it usually works for low competitive keywords.
