I actually got great domain names. There not long it's two or 1 word. Every domain I own is appraised at $2,000 and up yet not 1 bid. Is it because all my domains shows that it was created less than 20 days? Do people really care of the age of the domain?

Here's the good news. I left Godaddy because my auction has zero views there but now I'm on Flippa and I do get views just not bids. I have a question if I pay for the $60 auction instead of the $10 one would I get bids then?

How exactly are you valuing your domains "great"? The appraisal is useless i have domain "worth" 7k without any bids. The only domain that could sell in an auction without any promotion are those ones that are really "great" domains. Flippa is going downhill for a long time by now the $60 upgrade is worthless like the GoDaddy ones. Try to outbound to pitch the domain to potential end-user, you will probably have more chance to sell them

Trying to find someone to buy it without using Flippa or Godaddy would be really tough. I guess my goal right now would be just to sit on it for awhile and hopefully someone will want it some day.

New domains are worthless (most of them). They're like a good idea. Thirteen in a dozen.
But that doesn't mean you can't make a lot of money with them.
So look at how other (successful) sellers are promoting their domains on Flippa and other markets.
    Copy what they are doing!
You will see, they'll make it look like the domain is manna from heaven.
People need a push. Motivate them to buy! A one in a million chance. Now or never...
    Sell the dream.
    Success!

Yes age matter other than that u can't just put your domain there and think a buyer gonna come from the sky to buy it .. u still need to pay for your domain to show up because there is a lot of domains. If your domain is brandable i will not bother to contact companies to sell it to them.

from like 1 year I buy only aged domains, even have 0 backlinks, if have 2-3 year age I'll buy it straight away, can be 4 5 6 7 8 letter doesnt matter. Age for like every buyer is a must, if not, he don't know the game.

So you registered them brand new 20 days ago? 1 word? You realize every great 1 word tld is taken and u more than likely registered some dud. Devaluation God is probably from a bs tool and not true market rate.
My guess, not worth the reg fee and with 60 day lock you could not even transfer them.

If they were great domains you'd be able to sell them immediately at the right price.

These questions matter.. are they .coms? If they're not, are they within valuable extensions or trash extensions? If they're actually dictionary words, are they ridiculous words that have no commercial meaning like "scrupulous.info" or some other weird shit like that? Have they ever been registered before?

There's domain valuations and then there's domain valuations. There's so much bullshit out there (**cough** estibot **cough**) that inflates the price of complete garbage no one will ever buy.

If they're actually good commercial names, get Jnr.VIP and sell them here?

Quality aged domains matter, that is, if the domain is well aged and has a good history. It's is a factor in determining Google rankings.

Rank well requires a lot of time and effort, especially in the first months so an aged domain with a good reputation has already done all the initial path that a brand new domain still have to do.

however it is not simple to find a diamond in the middle of so much shit.

"Great" domains were not registered 20 days ago.
    But 25 years ago.

I have a domain that GoDaddy values at $1k+.

Do you want to buy it?

Seriously though, just because GoDaddy values it at that price, think about what you want out of a domain yourself. Will you pay me $1k for nothing but a domain name? If you will, I will go and buy 100 great domain names that I will sell to you.

However, you are more likely to want to see that they are making something, getting some traffic, some revenue, anything other than just a name.

Like others said, there are not much "great" domain names available for registration. Most of those that are worth something, even if are not registered have a "premium" mark up by the registrars and cost a lot. Thats said I am not saying that there are not hidden gems, and sometimes you just have to find the right buyer, which also means that you may hold the domains for years before selling them.

Unfortunately, domain biz is not an active niche on bhw. People hand-register domains and make sales in few hours, days or weeks.
Like someone rightly mentioned above, target end-users, outbound and make sales.
I rather go for geo-domains and make multiple sales around ($400 to $750/domain) in a month than hold unto a brandable that most times take years to sell.

Age really does matter. Some people just don't care about link profile, but just age.

As someone who spends 3-4 figures on good domains, I honestly think a lot of these domains site for sale for many years. Like 3-5 years minimum. You can't expect a quick sale.

    Noob here.
Do you mean domains like ''locksmithinlondon.com'' (for example?)
Then, what to you do? Reach to the 1st position on google for locksmiths in london and try to sell to them?
Idk if I made myself clear. Thanks!

You need to know that < Domain Name Appraisals are SUBJECTIVE!

Moreover, "IF" one knows what they are doing, appraisals can be manipulated in one's favor, including manipulating Estibot and all of the other automated software applications that provide domain name evaluations.

That stated, the Domain Name Game has changed; if you want to get a few dollars to a couple of hundred dollars, you sell on platforms such as: Ebay, Flippa, etc.

Selling on Godaddy is a crapshoot; there is so much gaming going on - on that platform that one MUST be scary careful.

When I say gaming, Godaddy is at the TOP OF THE LIST! Sellers are tricked/lured into believing false valuations, rigged bidding and costly seller addons that amount to nothing more than pipe dreams.

ArmFl8, in that case, you are not selling a naked domain, you are selling a lead generation income producing web property.
