Why Network Solutions sucks - My experience

I backordered a lot of domains via SnapNames and a lot of them are hosted in Network Solutions. They both belong to Web.com

So the thing is that Network Solutions is the worst registrar I have ever seen in a while and I will explain you my reasons:

- TERRIBLE, really TERRIBLE customer support. It is incredible how bad they are at this part.
- Awful ticket system. They have a ticket system implement that only allows you one question and one answer. If you need to follow the conversation, you need to open another ticket.
- Really expensive Private Whois Locking. While other companies are giving away free Whois Privacy, Network Solutions is charging you a premium price for this service and they are billing you MONTHLY for that. Come on...I accept to pay, but bill me yearly and a lower price. 7,93?/year for Whois Privacy + Domain Renewal
- It is impossible to have different Whois personas in the same account. No matter how many times I tried to change my public whois, it is impossible to have different domains with different identities. This is unacceptable. Every registrar company I know allows you to have different whois info in the same account. What you need to do is verifying the identity with an email address. In Network Solutions, you just CAN'T.
- So related to the previous point, I have now a lot o domains in parking status because they all have the same whois (I can't use them to build my PBN) until I can move them (60 days after purchase them) to another registrar like Namecheap or Name.com paying the transfer fee.

All in all, it is a pain in the ass. I have 4 tickets opened, they don't want to reply me and I don't know what to do.

Is someone in my same situation? I am so frustrated with them.

Nice post.. I've never liked Network Solutions myself.. Only used them way back in the day when there was virtually no other registrars available, lol.

Sad,that you are facing all these issues. It's better to look for a better provider then.

What I mean is that I am forced to used it as I am using SnapNames as my backordering service. They are both from the same company (Web.com) and obviously, they make everything possible to register the expiring domains with Network Solutions.

27.99 for a .com... Whoa!

I remember paying them 35.00 back in 2004/2005 but thought they would eventually come down to the $ amounts that the industry is charging due to supply and demand.

I seem to be wrong.

Just transfer the domain bro, no big deal.

Yep, that is what I am going to do, but I need to wait for 60 days until ICANN allows you to move it. I will need to pay the transfer fee also.
