I don't have to register new account in MTurk. Rejecting the application by their review. I don't know what are the requirements to register?

I think it was a good way to make money.

Maybe you're applying from a country they don't like.

I applied in february and got accepted. I'm in the US.

I had made a longer reply but my system froze. Essentially they think you have multiple accounts. That's probably why they're denying it, they avoid multiple accounts because essentially the provoders could scam the system, reviews, etc. If your account is legitimate, then contact Amazon and explain.

Which account you applied? Worker or Requester?

If this is true, then you need to do it from a separate IP address. They don't allow multiple accounts, so your friend needs to do it on a different computer (or at least on a unique IP address) and then continue to use it from that address as well. If you are both using the same computer, you can submit a ticket to request allowance, but they will usually assume you are lying and trying to cheat the system.

So I guess they just expect multiple people who use the same IP (household) to use the same account. ffs...

I don't see why anyone would want to scam an mturk account. You have to work your ass off to get the qualifications needed to get decent work. It's the bottom of the barrel. This is the work that cannot be computerized. It cannot be resold, because the pay is so cheap.

Well in general, they don't expect multiple people in the same household to be using the same computer all that often AND wanting to both be MTurk workers. That's not exactly the norm, although it does happen. It's better for them to block it overall to avoid the abusers more often than not.

And some of it CAN be automated. And for jobs that only allow a user to do it once (like various surveys) then having multiple accounts would let them get around that. Plus, if someone gets banned from MTurk and then tries to reapply, it'll kick out many of the apps automatically because they already had an account.

Here not used the same IP...!!

MTurk responded my ticket. Their mail was:

"Hello,

I'm sorry to hear that your friend's account registration with us was rejected. New Worker accounts are accepted based on our marketplace needs. Unfortunately, our criteria for account review are proprietary and I'm not able to disclose a reason as to why your account was not approved.

We appreciate your interest in Amazon Mechanical Turk and want you to know that our criteria for acceptance may be subject to change in the future.

Again, thank you for your interest."
