Hello,

I manage a artist (Model & Blogger) working for several brands.

I wonder how the blue checkmark is given.

Indeed, some profiles with bad commitment and without important influence (No wikipedia, no IMDB credits, no publication in magazines ...) obtained this famous badge, why?

A quick example:

Thank you for your answers.

I'm not familar with IG but I know for other platforms you need to request is (so I read). If anyone knows different feel free to correct.

life isn't fair :(
Yes , life is not fair and it's hard. Get used to it, as hard as it may sound.

@OP : You can always try to request it, and tell them that people create a lot of fake accounts pretending to be you. Usually IG only gives these blue badges to people that have a lot of imposters, or famous people.

It's not really true, some people are not famous and don't have a lot of imposters but they got the blue checkmark. I think It's just a story of good contacts...

Its all about who you know. Its rarely about how important/famous you are. Obviously most famous and important people have the check mark, but I've seen people with 1,000 followers that work for a big network (CNN, etc) that have the check mark too.

Whoops, thought you meant Twitter. I'm sure the same still applies though.

First, you need to be verified on Facebook. There is a way to request a FB verification, just look it up and apply. After that, if you're lucky you can get verified on Instagram.

Or do it the easy way, know someone at IG that can give you the verified check mark in under 2 minutes.

My mate with a pretty shitty account of 2k for verified the other week. He's a singer and just signed up with a big fancy social media company. My guess is they have contacts with Instagram and can get their clients accounts verified. So yeah probs don't need to be famous just know someone connected to IG

Yeah you can find few people which promise to get you blue tick for $$$$.
