I want to ask you why should I really need a landing page? I want to promote the clickbank/cpa offers with PPC/PPV. For exemple if I promote an ebook about something (penis enlargement, or any other niche) and this product have a great landing page with a lot of explanations, why sould I need to create my short landing page? The customer will see my landing page and after that he will go to the seller landing page. If he like the seller landing page then he will purchase the product. If my landing page is not looking good I'll lose a chance because the customer maybe would have liked the seller landing page and bouht the product. And if the customer are impressed about my landing page and click the link, and he didn't like the seller landing page he didnt purchase the product. I think the seller landing page is important, not mine. Can someone explain me because I think that I dont see something. I think it is necesarry to create a landing page if you want to get e-mail adresses, but if you dont want to get e-mail adresses why is important to have a landing page? Any feedback will be apreciated.

Direct linking works but having a LP to split test is even better.

LP's basically acts like a bridge to connect a potential customer to the offer.

There are some things that aren't answered on the sales page so that's when you make your own LP to address this issues.

People are making their landing pages mostly in order to hide source of traffic, or to filter out junk traffic from potential prospects. CPA landing pages given to you by your affiliate manager are usually just enough good to sell the product, if you are just starting you will hardly beat their experience with what is converting better. They already know what is converting, colors, buttons, call to action etc is already sorted out for you and refined through split tested pages, so if your traffic is natural, not done with some spamming, with incentive or whatever, feel free to work with their LP.

Landing pages are useful to pre sell what you're selling doesn't matter what it is.

Landing pages help build interest. Think of it this way, if you want to buy a car and you visit the dealership (landing page) and if you don't like it would you still buy the car?

I was actually wondering the same thing. I do have one question...I am looking for a good domain name and I want to promote different cpa offers. I am kind of stuck on what I want my url to be.

Ok, if I visit the dealership landing page and if I don't like it I will not buy the car, but if I visit your landing page and I like it, and after that I go to the dealership landing page and I don't like it, is not the same thing?

On the other hand the dealership have a lot of money, I think he can create a landing page more interesting than my landing page...

Thou I agree with the overall notion that a landing page is not a necessity for promoting other ppl's products, this assumption shouldn't be taken as rule of thumb. You'd just have to take a look at plenty of small businesses with successfull marketing strategies (including LP's, of course) vs plenty of failed ones from reputed, bigger businesses.
