Why is SMTP bad for bulk email?

The more you want to send, the harder it gets to manage the server/s, IPs, Reputation, etc

in my case I want to send a one time email to a 10k list.. I should get away with domain+hosting and using my hosting SMTP through sendblaster right? is the whole "smtp is bad for bulk" when bulk is over 200k?

Check your hosting mailing limits first, but yeah it will work probably just remember to set a delay between each email like 6-7 seconds, and its not bad its just gets harder and harder whenever you want to go above 100k, specially if they are opt-out, because the need of creating new letters rotating ips cleaning etc, also specially if the niche is a hard one that mix of opt-out/tough niche, gets lot of spam reports which makes it pretty hard to manage the inbox rate when the amount is big, and who wants a bad score, at the end its NOT bad its just tough job specially when the client budget doesn't compare at all to all online services like mailchimp, dotmailer.

thanks for the insight!! i've also read that using sendblaster with your own IP is a really stupid thing to do.. but would anyone really sue you because they got an unwanted email from you? that's overreacting

Well, if the mailing software smart it won't show your IP in emails, test it using mail-tester.com and view the source of the email it will show the IP of where it came from but probably just the SMTP IP, but i doubt it they are only 10k!

And you are not sending threats lol, Are you ? :po_O

@Th3 Technician is the master when it comes to this stuff. He has helped me a lot the past few weeks and would recommend chatting with him if you need help.

Trying to send bulk emails without professional help is an absolutely daunting task. I tried by myself and failed miserably -- there is a lot that goes into it.
