True I guess we may never know what is going to be huge until it actually happens. And I guess for that to happen people will have to stop using instagram because their ads or algorithms just screw everyone around like facebook.
i have a suggestion for you .
you need to work about one week on it and you'll see a big change on your engagements
try to find some profiles under your nichie , than open the comment list and follow the people who has comments on the same nichie
it worked for me really well .

Okay, I'll try this. Instagress have a feature where I can follow somebody's followers, which I have been doing. Most follow back which is good, but I am afraid using bots will get my account banned?

Yeah. I've been thinking of dumping my Nokia 6110 to get myself a brick I can actually work on. Donno, the 6110 is so rugged. Not an easy decision.
This has happened to me as well, and I have growed my instagram organically for the longest time. Instagram has just been being a bitch with allowing engagement. Im sure that you're not the only one that is going through this problem, but Im also sure that it may have to do with how you stopped liking all together

I agree! It's not like you had genuine people following you and naturally engaging with your content. Those bot programs aren't good for stuff like that anyways. You will get followers but your engagement rate will be supper low.

you do realise how long it would take to get to 250k followers manually using your phone. It's virtually impossible unless you are glued to your phone 24/7. It would also take forever.
If you have good content im pretty sure you will get good engagement.
