lol pr is crap ,WF has PR5 but i visit it once a day and for BHW its once in every 10 min

Just like porn, why do you think people advise against porn links? Because they are of very low quality as they often are only videos and the pages got little to no backlinks at all, it's not that they are harmful themselves, also because you are unlikely optimizing a porn site so you'd be building links from irrelevant pages. PR has to do with backlinks and since bhw is not doing the offpage bit, it's not gaining that much pr..

And this site doesn't really need it to be honest. New threads get indexed within 10 minutes and when searched
on the proper keyword(s) it still gets on top.
PR linking from this website.. a different story.
Backlinking towards BHW is not something most of us do..

Yes indeed ! Just something came in my mind - SEO-guys who are offering their service in BST section - say somebody offering a service for "xrumer blast" - now he just can do some backlinks to his particular BST thread - and I think it will soon go top for "xrumer blast" along with many long-tail xrumer keywords in Google SERP - therefore he will get some noob clients who actually is not a member of BHW yet, but once they come to know this thread by searching in google and will become member here just to buy his service.
This actually can be more profitable for them, cause due to the BHW authority - the thread will go to the top easily without much effort on backlinkings - just a few good one will do the trick.
This I think not kinda innovative, may be many are doing this already, just my 2 cents though

Used to be higher, i remember when it had at least pr 5, and i am pretty sure since then the links to the website increased - there is probably a manual penalty somehow activated due to the content discussed here - happen to other sites that used to provide useful blackhat info - like makemoneyonlinefor beginner, on blogspot, courtney tuttle. etc.. They abandoned their sites after the penalty... not BHW though.

But on a serious note, this site could very well be under a manual penalty given the fact it discusses, promotes and does everything against Google's rules?

I believe PageRank is only one of about 200 or so different SERP metrics Google uses to measure a website's/web-page's rank. Even if BHW only has a PR of 3, BHW most likely has higher enough ratings in the other metrics to counter the "low" page rank.
From what I see, BHW has over 839,000 pages indexed in Google and an Alexa ranking of 512, so our favorite forum isn't doing bad at all despite only having a PR of 3.
Besides, I've never just solely worked on increasing my site's Page Ranks - it doesn't seem like a wise idea to hinge all your hard work on one metric of ranking.
