Why is firefox coming out with new verisons every week?

It took them like a year to come with version 4 but now all of a sudden they have jumped up to 6 in what seems a matter of weeks.

It pissed me off cos all my plugins were obsolete and I had autoupdate on, which I've now switched off to prevent that crap from happening again.

So what is the deal?

I guess security holes or something- still I don't see why they don't call it 4.1/2 etc. like they did before?

Chrome effect!
 
After Version 3.6 they didn't find any stable version. Keep updating and renaming the versios. Mozilla is loosing the browser game.
 
Because they're realising that their browser is beginning to suck.
 
As everybody said, they're trying to keep up with Chrome
Still I find 60% of my website visitors using Firefox though, although Chrome is much much faster on both of my computers
 
read somewhere, mozilla is planning no more version numbers. just for internal use. dont know how this should work.
 
It's because of stupid people who think that IE9 is better than FF3. Also; Chrome is only 'faster' because it precaches more content concurrently than firefox does by default.

this is why. Dumb people, that's all. Keeping up with the other browsers.
 
Damn it - Fire fox id like Market Samurai new update everytime you tune it on :shrug:
 
yeah ff is going downhill. i cant be bothered with all these updates fuckin up my plugins and as mentioned the memory bloat is absurd. wtf mozilla?
 
I got a huge plugin list disabled by all this crap new version every month :( FF has been good to me but it's getting on my nerves lately.

Yeah I just dont update anymore. Not worth the hassle.
 
Yeah, it is annoying when every other time I use firefox it has a new version. Then I have to wait for my extensions to update. Lame

Maybe I will use chrome a bit more. We will see...
 
After 3.6 I never bother with firefox, I have been using chrome.
 
Because Google will buy Mozilla company and own Firefox very soon.
