Why is firefox coming out with new verisons every week?

It took them like a year to come with version 4 but now all of a sudden they have jumped up to 6 in what seems a matter of weeks.

It pissed me off cos all my plugins were obsolete and I had autoupdate on, which I've now switched off to prevent that crap from happening again.

So what is the deal?

I guess security holes or something- still I don't see why they don't call it 4.1/2 etc. like they did before?

True. They changed their build cycle to keep up with chrome. Basically they do not do little versions anymore, at most 1-2 patches, and release a new build within 3 months or so. Its a BS tactic, I have yet to meet somebody actually excited about it.

After Version 3.6 they didn't find any stable version. Keep updating and renaming the versios. Mozilla is loosing the browser game.

Still I find 60% of my website visitors using Firefox though, although Chrome is much much faster on both of my computers

It's because of stupid people who think that IE9 is better than FF3. Also; Chrome is only 'faster' because it precaches more content concurrently than firefox does by default.
