Why internet marketing is hard.

The reason its hard is because if everyone could do it and make a lot of money at it then everyone would do it, and then through normal market forces it would become harder and harder to keep making money at it... You know like it was an economy or something...

Now I have to be honest, I don't currently make a living doing this, but for a total of about 10 hours of actual work last month, i.e. setting up a site, doing maintenance on some others, etc. I made over $1,000 from IM. Not a huge amount, but I won't be giving away my sites any time soon.

I just wish I could motivate myself to do more sites. I love the money, but I actually find setting up sites to be so flipping boring... But, by the end of the week I'll have another built... Did I say I like the money?

If you want to make money doing this, read a few articles about a little bit of everything, do this for about a month. Then once you have an overview of what IM can be, pick the one area that seems interesting to you, and then DO IT...

Do it until you make money, then once you make money repeat that, until you can make money each time, then scale it up, and then, only then move on to another method.

Although each of my sites now are profitable, I am no where near close to moving on to another method, I'm still perfecting what I do, and have sooooooo many more sites and niches to go after that I may not need another method for a very long time... But that's just me.

Online boards are just like real life. Online marketing is just like any other human endevour.

Success is possible for anyone, but it is hard. Most people are too lazy to make it. Only a single digit %age will ever be successful.

Its a bit like running a marathon. Virtually anyone can do it, but most of us cannot be bothered. There are no naturals. Everyone starts by taking the first step. The tiny %age who stick with it can eventually run a marathon. Of those, only a small %age will ever be able to run a competitive race. Of that lot too, only a small %age will ever be winners/champions/get a sponsorship deal.

Black Hat World + BHW methods + BHW tools are just like steroids. You can take all the steroids in the world, but if you do not get your butt off the couch, the steroids are just going to make you fat. If on the other hand you are already working hard on the track, steroids will improve your muscle growth, body recovery time etc, allowing you to progress faster and further than you might have been able to.

When you think of it that way, you realise that there will always be money to be made online, for those willing to work hard and smart. Always. For most of the people though, IM is something they experience through the lens of success threads, just like the many who will only ever experience a marathon on TV.

This is why the best among us sell so much crap to the rest of the community.
BHW is a market by itself.

Most people fail with their attempts at Internet Marketing b/c they think "IM" = "Instant Money". Yes, the Internet gives us a lot of things instantly, but cash isn't necessarily one of them if you're just starting out in this business...

Are you a shit seller? Do you start like this in your new jobs/projects? Do you see them as "shit"? So 99% does exactly as you. As shit sellers.. and we the rest, 1%, sell satisfaction...

IMHO you are a bit wrong mate. I think it should be 1% rather than 10%.

After reading the posts here in bhw
Noobs think they will become bill gates overnight
but after taking action they think that IM is very difficult job

IM is both hard and rewarding.
you can choose to have both, or neither.

rise to face challenges and make your dreams into reality,
or back down from challenges and never reach your full potential.

on a side note, i'm gonna guess that the high failure rate in IM is due to the relatively bizarre circumstances in which people are introduced to IM.
lets treat IM like any other "normal" career for a second. take doctors for example.

now imagine coming across an ad for a $37 ebook that promised to teach unemployed local moms how they could become doctors within 1 week just by reading 8 simple steps, and of course, taking action.
the failure rate would probably be just as high, because being introduced to careers this way is fucking wacky.

you succeed with IM just like with any other career out there - with lots of hard fucking work and determination.
there's a lot more people "trying" to do IM due to its unique circumstances, and all these morons end up raising the average failure rate, but that doesn't necessarily make IM any "harder" than any other career.
