If you get bad service like that request a refund through paypal and post a bad review on the service so others know.

OP i am with you 100% EXCEPT with what to do with your spare time.....Why not get fit, do pleasure activites, spend time with family, etc. instead of looking for more ways to make money? You only have one life and no point in being the richest body in the grave yard.

You have a good point here, my friend. I won't start defending myself and saying that I only work 4 hours a day. I love my work. Maybe too much. But my plans are simple: I WILL make 5 millions before I have children and I'm gonna retire when I'm 40, with at least 10 millions in my account. I'm positive about it. And I'm going there.
I don't do it only for the money (if that was the case, I wouldn't be able to get out of bed every day). I just loooove the game. It's so much fun!

I'm going to start my fourth company and, now, I have all the knowledge I've accumulated through the years. It's like The Matrix: I can see the code.

But, yes. You can use your free time for whatever you want to. At the moment, I love SO MUCH doing business and I'm doing so well, that I just don't wanna stop.

To the guys who PMed me: I will answer all your messages. Just give me two or three days, this has been a hell of a week.

I have always had the money and, now, I'm not sure why I din't do that sooner. It leaves you with SO MUCH free time to do other stuff, like concentrating in new business opportunities.

Yes and no. I started selling SEO services but then I found the perfect business model for me: finding companies who were already making money but, with an in-house SEO, they could make a lot more. So, I founded my first company with a great guy, mi first mentor. He had a company in that niche and was making a very good living out of it. Good cars, good apartments (the plural is not a misstake) and long vacations. I created this whole portal from scratch (not literally me, I hired a designer and a programmer). He putt all the money, cause I have already shown him how good I was.

The company took 1 year to start making money but, today, I almost don't do any work. I have this "symbolic" USD400 salary and all the budget I want for SEO (but, with a VA, some fiverrs and two providers from here, It's pretty cheap). I dedicate 1 day of my week to the company.

Every time we split revenues, I get good amount. So that's my passive income and all I need to live well. So I can concentrate in other stuff. So, I think we can say "yes, it's from SEO".

I founded my SEO company to start selling services to businesses. Soon I realized that was a good business if you sell to BIG companies, who are ready to spend a lot if the results are great (and they are). I'm living in a country where competition is low, so I'm one of the best around here. AND, I'm a really good seller. The key to this is networking, networking, networking. That and being good at what you do.

Now, I'll create my first startup. That's what I really want to do. Nothing SEO-related. I wake up every morning thinking about it. And I love it.

I completely disagree... I would say most critical tasks worth doing cannot be outsourced

Question ... I know you use a company but on more specific tasks do you ever use training videos so they can learn faster, or just don't worry about and let the company handle?

Regarding the Camtasia videos... That's a very good idea! Didn't though of it. I think it's great. Haven't done that, but looks good.
For the VAs, I train the VA over Skype (share screen) and a word document. Give them the excel file they need to fill for the reports or the info you need. Don't let them create one from scratch.

I always do a task trial. Well, more than just one. But I ask for work I need to be done, not something to just test them. Remember that you wanna see how they behave. Task can be learn, personality don't.

Agreed that it is very hard to find good quality people.

I do more stuff myself than I would like simply because I haven't found people who are good enough, reliable enough, or trustworthy enough to outsource everything to them.

I outsource SOME (not all) of my content creation.

I outsource 99% of my SEO because I have a guy I've been working with for over 2 years who is fantastic. Let me tell you, it is HARD to find good SEO work. I spend low 5-figures with my one SEO guy each year but it is worth it. All the people I tried before him sucked...

I wish I could find other people in other areas (design, content, etc.) who were of the same caliber as him. But since I can't, I have to do most of the other stuff myself.

Awesome thread. Thanks for sharing with us your success and tips. It is simple as that - if you have time you invest it to make money, but when you already have the money you spend it to have more time. So as long as you have money outsourcing is the best way to make more money and investing it.

Couldn't agree more! Outsourcing is the way to go. Currently i am using Odesk, freelancer and rentacoder. Really good services. Interview before hiring, ask them to do a small sample of work prior to committing. Great Thread!!!
