Chrome takes up so much resources plus so much privacy issue.

Tried many chromium browsers like Brave, Opera, Chromium, Vivaldi, Edge but after sometime nothing seems fast and smooth like Chrome.

I want to sync bookmarks, history but don't want to do with Chrome as they get so much data. Recently I lost tons of bookmarks because I had not synced and formatted pc.

What to do? I want a smooth browser like Chrome and able to sync all activities.

I stopped relying on third-party addons for bookmarks. They are too important. And something always goes wrong with the compiling and saving. You best use a spreadsheet or add them to your to-do list for action. That way they are backed up more accurately, especially if you use cloud sheets.

I was talking about syncing gmail account with Chrome. When you do that, it automatically saves the bookmarks, history in your mail account. So even if you format pc, when you log in to your gmail, it auto adds the bookmarks and the previous browsing history.

Well, that's a function you don't use too often, i suppose. Maybe once in every two years. You can simply export the bookmarks and cookies before formatting and import them after the fresh OS is running. It's a like a minute long task, if you're slow. This i think is available in most browsers.

The syncing shows it's importance, if you use multiple devices, even different types: PC, phone, tablet, still everything is synced, so you can continue whatever you did on your phone on your PC etc. This convenience glues a lot of people to Google products.

As you already tried the popular browsers, i doubt, that you'll find the same level of convenience with anything else apart from the Apple ecosystem.

Chrome its also my favourite browser and i like it most over other browsers

Hi

I think in latest version like .100 or more, it reduced the running resources by a lot, this may change your mind.
