I created an adult site with wordpress for free, after making it public, the next day it was disabled. Why? Thanks for the replies

It seems your hosting provider does not allow porn website. Have you checked your host terms & conditions?

No, I haven't checked them.
So practically what are the steps I need to take to open an adult website?

Find an offshore host that allow hosting porn website.

You should also be aware of both the federal and local laws of your country to see what is allowed and what is not.
