Recently I found a huge drop in google rankings of my sites. I have never used any black hat technique for promoting my sites but still I fonud a hudge drop in results. So any of you have suggetions about it, what are your main strategies after panda 23rd and 24th. Does any one have asuggetions for me that I can use to get my rankiings back. Please share your experiences and help me out. Otherwise SEO will be dead for me and for my sites. Please help.....

Unless you can give more detail about what you've done to your sites (SEO-wise), the only advice I can give you is to look at the backlink reports for the top 10 sites ranking for the keyword(s) you're targeting. Obviously Google likes their backlinking, so see how they differ from your site and try to match their backlink profile.

OP, I am in the same situation.

I have a bunch of sites where I did white/grey/black link building and I could expect *any* kind of movement(s), bot up & down the SERPs. I "play the game" and I can accept any results.

But, surprisingly (to say the least) I have many sites where I am acting in a totally white manner: building solid content, adding images, videos, fresh & unique blog posts, building relations via social media and a few blog comments here and there, on blogs completely on-topic. Well, those sites are going down, and down, and down.

Wondering where the SEO is gone and where is going to go in the next months to come.

Useful content + backlinks ( which help users to find your useful content ) = SEO 2013

The question of what you are doing is very important.
But please take into consideration an essential factor: you may be dropped in rankings not just because Google ranks you worse in particular, but because another site appeared and it was ranked higher than yours. Every day hundreds of websites appear and get indexed. This is why SERP is changing.
That is why SEO should be combined with careful competitor analysis too.

Thanks for the reply.... I use general white hat techniques like Forums, Directory submissions, Bookmarking, Citations and Guest Blogging. I have never used any black hat tactics but still my site's rankings are not consistent. So if you have any suggestion for my sites that can be helpful for me in stabling my rankings. Your suggestions will be highly appreciable.

Of-course content will be a good idea but do you have any suggestions on how I can i promote my content. I mean do you have any suggestions on content promotion techniques? What are the most effective techniques apart from guest blogging.

Here are some: http://everything-pr.com/viral-content/240043/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook

Not in any way associated with this site, these are all safe for 2013 and beyond Content is still king!

what are your anchor texts like? like someone mentioned before, there are so many factors that are involved with a sites rank, it can be hard to determine what is going wrong with yours. I recommend you check out cash202's thread on seo. Theres a lot of pages to go through, but well worth it.

This has been going on for some time now. Now they are using filters which are refreshed and updated every week or so, which evaluate your backlinks all over again.

Hey there, There has been huge ranking fluctuations since the latest updates even if you dont use any black hat technique or spam links..
As to test, I havnt build any links to my site since 2 months but I keep updating my content. As a result My website goes suddenly to infinite and then returns to same positions and sometimes to thousands.. Now the results are not sticky.

Second test- I keep building links to my another websites but again the case 1 repeats even after building authority links.

Duplicate Content, Usage of more anchor text and Google Changing its Algorithm

My site is hit by some kind of update on Jan 15th nearly all keywords lose ranking on same date.

Same happened with me i think this is google dancing over ranking.. :smashfrea

If everyone want's their website remains at 1st spot for all their keywords, then what the use of competitor SEO & what about millions of other website who needs to rank for. So Google algorithm is greatly designed.. Its my suggestion (don't shout at me :) lol )

Cheers!
Bart

Agreed with proweb research your top ranking competitors see where they have their backlinks coming from, then try to get backlinks pointing to your website from those high quality domains (PR3+ Alexa 200,000-) and you should start seeing improvements in your SERPs.
