Why don't people act on their ideas?

Easy: FEAR.

Fear of the unknown. Inaction. Over planning. Over half of lifes issues are not even true. It's made up.

Awesome video. Thanks for all the comments guys.

So what can I do to GET SOMEONE to accomplish their goals? What would make it as simple as possible for them to change their obstacles into opportunities?

Some people are just dreamers. They had rather keep their dream alive than have it crushed by failure.
I love that quote because its so true. I think it is extremely important to set goals and I don't mean just setting them but actually have a clear plan in mind on how you will accomplish your goals. The key to accomplishing a goal is staying focused, most people say you should write your goals down but I say it doesn't matter as long as you have something that will constantly remind you of it. A year ago I decided that I would quit my job by February 13, 2013 and start my own business transporting cars, I didn't write my goal down but instead I put a reminder in my iphone to start a transport business by February 13. So every day when I went to work at 12 noon my phone wood chime reminding me that I had to start a business by February 13 lol it really put pressure on me as if I had a boss on my back telling me "hey don't forget to start that transport business" ok today is February 28 2013 and I haven't got my insurance quote back yet it's taking my agent a very long time to give me a quote. Well when he gives me the quote i will officially be in business and it didn't happen by feb 13 but as you can see its definately going to happen within a few days. This is the first time I've ever set a goal in my life and I know I didn't hit my mark but this should inspire you because the purpose is to START AND FINISH!

I believe that in reality, we are all the same. The problem we face is that we -ALL- either consciously or subconsciously think what we are doing is bullshit. I am not speaking about BHW or making money online. I am talking about the need for money & work. Whether we acknowledge it or not, it doesn't make sense and seems contrary to our higher 'calling' for our being.

I was a christian at one point, then turned atheist, but in reality i just stopped giving a shit (agnostic).. That worked for a year or so but because I was a recovering oxycontin addict whenever I was pulled to one extreme and was let down (such as going to back to church) - it would set off a chain of events, usually leading me to use. I found that I was in no shape to go after god through the same ways as people at the church, simply because I completely disagreed with the culture/collective understanding of who jesus was and what exacty he was about.

I learned that being true to my self and being OK with my present lack of understanding was more important for growth than anything else. I think it is more important to be yourself instead of taking on what others thought.

That set off a chain of events. Life got exciting for a change. Simple things, like words that I felt people (including me) used on a daily basis, made absolutely no sense. Because I was interested in spiritual stuff, I did spend time on a lot of words.. I went to greek and latin to see the root breakdowns. I noticed immediately that there might be an issue with language (i am a conspiracy theorist, aka paranoid freak) and I felt that for the most people the language that we learn is very shallow, aka not indepth. Language is used to communicate our thoughts/emotions to other people. If all we can do to define the words we use is remember at best the dictionary description of it, and maybe a few parallel words, then does that constitute a real understanding? Sometimes answering questions is best approached from different angles.. such as "would we want someone to teach us something that they themselves only had a limited understanding of?" The answer should be no. We really do want and NEED the absolute best. If not then perhaps we cannot give ourselves fully to the instruction because we do see faults. Everyone does desire greatness.

When I started researching god, I started at the root.. I remember in watching the passion of the christ in theatres when it came out. I swear if Mel Gibson goes to hell then I want to go with him, because I believe he revealed a lot to people just through three movies: Braveheart, Passion of the Christ & Apocalypto. If you have any objections to Jesus I truly believe that it is with the not with the man but the people who say they follow him - so please just bear with me. Anyway, in the movie the passion of the christ there was a scene that was left out. It was the scene where the guys were coming to arrest jesus, and when they asked if he was jesus he said I AM. In the bible they all fell back (think of a small AoE shockwave with perhaps a 10ft radius). In the movie that did not happen. Anyway, I've kinda never let that go and started with the I AM stuff..

The oldest hebrew name for God is said to be lost - along with it's meaning. But lets just focus on what we do know. When god starts working with moses, god uses I AM That I AM. Just like we are. He just IS. He has no beginning nor ending that he knows of. Just like us. For all we know we've always existed, right?

Another one, and for me this is the version of god that I absolutely love... and it's found in ancient greek. Kurios.. I love Kurios because to me it means curiosity. Which means to examine, to find out.. to turn over.. to care. Curiosity needs no motivation, it is already motivating. Whatever we are curious in we usually keep going until we are no longer curious.

I don't care what anyone says. Most people join the church because they are afraid that if they don't say the magic words they will goto hell, and burn for all eternity. Honestly, for what I know I never asked to be born, and what I do know that this world was MAJORLY FUCKED UP before I ever entered the scene, and that most of "my problems" came from my father through osmosis and without my permission, so please - if you're a 'christian' and you tell me that free will is a choice of either A or B. Save it. Fuck the box that you aren't even aware of. You sheeple.

Your jesus was a fucking rebel. He practically told people they were god and that no matter what - you stand up for what you believe is right. That's the problem. People are afraid of death. This life is just a brief blip in time. What we do here DOES echo in eternity.

So stand up. Grab your balls and then headbutt a wall. Because You are the only thing you've ever known.

Look into Esoteric vs Exoteric. That's what jesus was all about. Change starts from within. Believe you are God.

Nobody would! They are too tired to begin somewhere after 'seeing' it can make them a billion dollars easily, they get their focus only on 'getting and spending' those billion dollars without bothering to get back to square one and really begin on the method.

Later on, they lose interest in the method because the next morning they still find themselves hurrying to catch the 8:25 train to office, instead of being in Las Vegas.

Fear of failure .. Is the biggest drawback for most people taking action ..Some people will just think of a great idea, and get that warm fuzzy feeling of achievement , pats on the back from friends and family ,helping to reinforce the sense of achievement without having to take the risk of that great idea being a dud . The mind and ego can be a strength or weakness

I think there are a number of variables each weighing differently per user. I would say the most common factor comes down to a person's priorities. You have a great idea, but are you willing to put your social life on hold to see your idea through? How about your friends, family, and loved ones getting less attention? Is your hobby more important than your big idea? You already have a job, so getting your big idea to succeed isn't going to make or break you because you have that job to fall back to.

That's the time when you should be trying to turn your dreams into a reality when you do have a job because when you don't have a job to back you up then you don't get to choose but you have to take whatever comes your way.

Talk to some entrepreneurs, then talk to some normal people...you'll find your answers. We are a certain breed of people with ADD/OCD who steer clear of fear based decisions.

My biggest problem is starting too many things at once. I have a strong inner passion for understanding things and I become obsessive until I figure them out. This is characterized as a bad thing by society, but every SUCCESSFUL entrepreneur has the same inner passion. The hardest thing to do is focus in on it, and control it.

I'm only 24 and I have 3 businesses right and about to launch another one. They are combination of offline/online services, and combined bring in over $250,000+ a year. This is all built within 2-3 years of figuring out I was an entrepreneur.

I'm in no way special, anyone can accomplish the same thing, it just helps being an entrepreneur.

Not everyone is meant to start a business or launch an project, it takes a certain mindset.

Wow $250,000 plus? Now that is very impressive and even though I'm older than you I wanna be like you when I grow up!

I think its all about a fixed amount of money that you should get every month to keep you on track and move on with an idea.. this is where people gets demotivated, take money on credit etc and things went down.. This is real hard to manage as to my perspective :)

I'm actually one of those whom you ask abou.

For me it would be my mind and how it was set. Unfortunately, here we used to work upon something when we really have to. I start studying the exam night. I go to doctor when I can't move from sickness however the illness might started long time before. Everything I act on is always when I really have to. It's a necessity.

Now for the IM part what is really funny I'm here because I like computer and tech. Not because of the money part :)

You know when you have everything you need. And you can get anything else. This won't last because I have 5 months till graduation and then I will have to depend on myself. I have a fiance that I have to marry in less than a year :) . Marriage here means new home, furniture, party, honeymoon....etc Which is a huge amount of money.

Looking to my knowledge, I know a lot. Really a lot. Actually, I helped people to start their journey and get to 100$/day goal. I have knowledge in Site Building, Flipping, SEO, PPC , Monetizing...etc and I have a shitload of tools that I can use. I know programming. I'm also pretty good with Photoshop and graphic as design is my main job ( Architect :) )... So, when you look I might have a lot of knowledge that a lot of people here dream for. But there was only one little problem. I DIDN'T NEED MONEY and I my mindset doesn't work on anything till it needs it. There must be Consequences or I won't do it.

2 years have passed. I have seen a lot of members who started after me and are pretty successful now. Believe me, it's not a good feeling. Having the knowledge and the Power but not the will is the real curse.

Now, I have a graduation project to do ( for my college ) and I have to succeed within the upcoming 4 months. Or I will have to work as architect and leave my country. As my country doesn't pay enough to make money for marriage. And of course I don't want to lose my girl :)

So, Everyone reading this, you gotta know, sooner or later you have to act. Regret is a very bad feeling :) Believe me, you don't want to live with.

Guess this is why there is a journey coming on the way ;)

I'd love to tell you all of that $250,000+ is profit, but we do have expenses, contractors, and other owner shares.

Point being though, it's doable with the right mindset!
