When viewing my google analytics blackhatworld.com is in the referral section sometimes, but ive never shared the link here?

Anyone else see this?

I see it as visited page in my website !! Google has to handle their spying section better :D

Yeah, there was someone using BHW for their referrer spam campaign a while back, but if your site is in any way related to IM, then it's possible somebody else shared the site here. My IM website has been (unknowingly) shared by members here, WaFo, and Reddit in the past.

There are cases where people share non-IM sites here as well (e.g., "how does this site rank?"). But chances are that it was probably referrer spam.

Wilson why are you using the encrypted google? That was google's testing section for encrypted searches many years ago. Now ssl is implemented in all their network and the encrypted section has been dropped, is deprecated and useless now.

You can browse 'safetly' in the main google now. :)

Esta en fuego*
:D

best not put a link up as your username and avatar already promote your business and you mentioned what you do and where you ship. Already a sales pitch

No worries - thanks for the advice

if you wish to promote your product on bhw, work your way to 100 posts
then get a vip upgrade 97$ a year on bhw then u can promote here

Brill - will try and get posts up and participate as much as possible. Thanks for the advice, didn't know that you could do this :-)

Because https://www.google.com is for chumps and https://encrypted.google.com is for badasses like Wilson. ;)

No, but really, I was wondering the same thing.

That reminds me, I posted a guide on how to rank for those referral spam keywords back in 2015.
https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/m...-using-referrer-spam-urls-as-keywords.787356/

It's easy traffic and most of the sites that target those keywords are garbage (or at least they were back then). That article you linked to wasn't even proofread and it's essentially just a spun version of the other referral spam articles on the same site.
  • We have dedicated this article to explaining all there is to know about Blackhatworld.com and its kind.
  • What’s more, we will also inform you about frequent mistakes people make and may try to mislead you into making as well, in an attempt to remove the spammers.
  • However, the website owners such as yourself have no way of knowing and tend to fall into the exact same trap as with classic referral spam.
  • So instead of letting the spamming carry on and instead of turning into a whole new level of evil, we suggest you refer to the removal guide provided below.
