Why do you contribute to forums?

Nothing against forums but why do you contribute sensitive information such as bypasses to public forums knowing that they will be patched after the site creators find out about them?

I'm fine with sharing other stuff, but why sensitive stuff that'll get patched and probably never exist again? to get validation from strangers on the internet?

I'm curious I don't like sharing personal information.

That can happen, because of more than one reasons.

(1) Someone's being stupid and not recognizing the dangers of sharing sensitive stuff publicly.
(2) The individual has one or more better methods making him/her more money, so he/she doesn't mind if shared method gets patched. He/She possibly likes internet fame and likes to grow his/her e-penis/e-vagina.
(3) Someone is being pure evil and want a method to be patched just for his/her own amusement or his/her financial gain.
(I think the most famous out of these the yt view increasing methods, which got shared and patched.)

I'd say these are the main reasons, but i might left out something.
