Why do some people still use Black Hat SEO even though it’s risky?

All my sites are run through automation with link building tools mostly using GSA SER. I spend around $100 on proxies, emails, and content. No matter what hat you wear, the sites can still get deindexed for various reasons.

It's like cholesterol...someone with low cholesterol may still have a heart attack, while high cholesterol is riskier in theory, but in practice, there's not much difference or even correlation. Same with black hat and white hat SEO.

I've been doing SEO for years, and now I'm here to learn YouTube automation. I still earn money from SEO and its automation. I don't label it as white hat or black hat.

I want to understand why some people still choose to use Black Hat SEO, even though it comes with high risks like penalties or getting unindexed. Is it because it gives faster results, or are there situations where it's actually worth the risk?
There's no kind of business, and I mean no one, that doesn't use tricks to improve their sales.
Everything is BackHat

At the end, it's all about black and white. No matter what method or path we take. Black is not about wrong or worse, it's just a not-white one. We can only choose -- and mostly forced to choose between black and white.
(All of a sudden I became a philosopher by the time I read your post).

People choose Black Hat SEO for faster results and competitive advantage in short-term campaigns. However, the risks often outweigh the benefits for long-term sustainability.

Some people use Black Hat SEO for quick, short-term gains — especially in competitive niches — but it’s rarely sustainable and almost always backfires long-term.

Black Hat SEO persists because it offers short-term gains in competitive spaces, driven by specific incentives, despite long-term dangers.
