In reality, low self-esteem. Even the coolest kid on the block can have it. Never trust appearance.
Yeah, i see low self-esteem in lots of places but when you can't accept being wrong on-line to people you don't know? then what?
Being wrong damages some people's sense of self. Saying you were wrong can make you feel humiliated, ashamed, or unworthy, which is disconcerting. Some people also believe IQ and skills are fixed. This makes mistakes feel like personal failures. But, mistakes are part of learning and can help you improve.
10000% agree. Mistakes are just apart of life and so much easier to say "i was wrong"
A lot of people tie their ideas to their personal identity. When you attack their ideas, it is equal in their mind to attacking them as as a person. Sadly this is human nature and you have to manually train yourself not to do this, or just be raised not to.
what about people on-line? In front of people they do not know?
IMO, admitting being wrong takes courage & humility. Society often rewards those who seem perfect, so it's hard for some to accept flaws. But learning from mistakes is key to growth.
Agree 1000% here. It's funny, women I've dated in the past would hate the fact I was so okay with being wrong. To me it was like "2 words" + "I learned something" & move on........ I don't get how some people get so effected by being imperfet
It's like... if you're successful, doing what you want in life.. Happy.. how in the world could being wrong once or twice leave you feeling so bad?
What's up with people on Power Trips? Who can't control the next person in XYZ situations..............
Just seeing some weird behaviors online . And in person, I don't even associate with people like this but in these online worlds I'm seeing more and more mentally unstable personalities trying to blend in with the people who are successful online.
Generally speaking of course. Please dont let any of the 'hit dogs holla'
I used to enjoy talking to professionals of the psychology world because I felt like they truly do understand the amount of people who lack connection to reality.
"Looped in fantasy" is the term i'm having to use more and more
