Why do some people hate being wrong?

Is it really that hard to say "I was wrong" for some people? Or to be seen as 'not perfect' ? ? ?

Such egos tend to destroy relationships of all sorts from business to personal.

I may be very 'dedicated' to facts, when I know i'm right but I'll never be one to think I'm perfect or struggle to say i'm wrong.

Any of you struggle with this? What do you think of people who struggle with this?

The learning process is Dialectic = Thesis > Antithesis > Synthesis - to find the wrongs.
Most people don't even understand what that means = they don't want to learn and grow.
The planet is filled with morons - accept it and enjoy a couple of pina coladas to cheer you up mate.

Trust me. I cut off those types of people. In all forms. I'm not down.

I feel like I do audits of these kinds of bad energy ties irregularly and just keep enjoying these world travels & adventure i've been doing for 10 years

BUT. I do love discussing topics and seeing others opinions.

Being wrong damages some people's sense of self. Saying you were wrong can make you feel humiliated, ashamed, or unworthy, which is disconcerting. Some people also believe IQ and skills are fixed. This makes mistakes feel like personal failures. But, mistakes are part of learning and can help you improve.

In such a competitive world being wrong does mean losing, and many aren't good at that due to low self esteem

A lot of people tie their ideas to their personal identity. When you attack their ideas, it is equal in their mind to attacking them as as a person. Sadly this is human nature and you have to manually train yourself not to do this, or just be raised not to.

IMO, admitting being wrong takes courage & humility. Society often rewards those who seem perfect, so it's hard for some to accept flaws. But learning from mistakes is key to growth.

In reality, low self-esteem. Even the coolest kid on the block can have it. Never trust appearance.

Yeah, i see low self-esteem in lots of places but when you can't accept being wrong on-line to people you don't know? then what?

10000% agree. Mistakes are just apart of life and so much easier to say "i was wrong"

what about people on-line? In front of people they do not know?

Agree 1000% here. It's funny, women I've dated in the past would hate the fact I was so okay with being wrong. To me it was like "2 words" + "I learned something" & move on........ I don't get how some people get so effected by being imperfet

It's like... if you're successful, doing what you want in life.. Happy.. how in the world could being wrong once or twice leave you feeling so bad?

What's up with people on Power Trips? Who can't control the next person in XYZ situations..............

Just seeing some weird behaviors online . And in person, I don't even associate with people like this but in these online worlds I'm seeing more and more mentally unstable personalities trying to blend in with the people who are successful online.

Generally speaking of course. Please dont let any of the 'hit dogs holla'

I used to enjoy talking to professionals of the psychology world because I felt like they truly do understand the amount of people who lack connection to reality.

"Looped in fantasy" is the term i'm having to use more and more

Yeah, it's wild how some folks can't handle being wrong. IMO, it's all about perspective. If you're happy & successful, admitting you're wrong shouldn't be a big deal. Power trips might come from insecurities & the need for control. Online, it's easier for unstable peeps to blend in, but staying true to yourself & surrounding yourself with the right crowd is key. Keep learning & growing, and don't let the "looped in fantasy" crowd get ya down, mate!

more often than not, the ones who are constantly smiling are going through real tough times too :(
Why do some people hate being wrong?
cuz people are literal spastics
and need to stop putting labels on things
doesn't always need a "right or wrong" label on any given situation.

That's your fault because, in a growing feminist world, you were searching for a woman who would be okay with a guy admitting faults. :D

It is related to low self-esteem, and they think the world centers around them, as we all do more or less in some way since we know the world from our life and center it around it.

Rings true for politics lol. Seems they vote out of spite for the opposing side vs what's best for constituents

If you're right all the time, you learn nothing

LOL Like the guy with expensive clothes but never been anywhere but the clothes store and his neighborhood

Some people act like they know everything's, they can never be wrong.

people form an idea about things and some may not react well when those initial ideas are destroyed. very counter productive way of thinking if u wanna improve and get better at stuff
