Why do people thinking purchasing backlinks is the answer to SEO?

uh..backlinking services do just that ;create backlinks. its up to you to index them.
Agreed.

I never bought any backlinks (I'm strictly DIY now), but if I did, I would treat them like the backlinks I create for myself. I start creating backlinks for the backlink URLs using BMD, creating and and submitting phony RSS feeds or what have you, then pinging those new URLs.

If your are not into DIY then extract 1 or 2 thousand urls from the 70K and submit them to the same type of service and tell them to distribute 70K more backlinks among those URLs and ping those.

I'm guessing you'd want to limit this to just 2 or 3 tiers.

I have 181,432k links to date only bought the one package off 100k im ranked top position for all my keywords chosen.

Yahoo Shows 181,432
Google Shows 91,000

I do know what you mean though by google dont show all your links

Domain is 8months PR is only 7 whether i stay like this dont know dont really care. But alot of my links do show with google.

This should be quoted every time people freak out and think they've been sandboxed from creating a few links to their site.

OP:

I get what you're saying. People just like to blast out tons and tons of xrumer and SB links and they never get indexed. Next thing you know they're crying about how they're not seeing any results after getting 10's of thousands of backlinks. The problem is people like to be lazy and not go through any extra efforts to get their backlinks indexed.

Does anyone recommend a good backlink service then? Something with fewer, higher quality backlinks that are relevant to your niche?

search for SecondEye on the forum. He got a good backlink service of PR 5+. Got my site on top of G in 3 days!

You can buy any SERP if you have the money and know how to pick which links to buy. Google is way more concerned about this than any of the stuff that goes on around here.

Its actually a good thing not to have all your back links indexed straight away, Google should be able to find them naturally, So sure ping some and leave some that's the way to do it.

I wasnt saying that backlinking services have done anything wrong..... I was just pointing out the fact that there needs to be more emphasis on getting the backlinks indexed....or at least making people aware that they need to get them indexed.

Getting them indexed through pinging services etc.. runs a big risk.. As mentioned several times in the thread let them be found naturally.

I blasted my site to 100,000+ URL's, and I can see that 31,418 links have already been indexed.

It was all natural and in a two month's time.

I am sure rest will follow and most of the links will get indexed in a couple more months. I rank on page 3 for my main keyword. Medium high competition. :)
