Why do people reject good guest posts?

Like for real, why do you reject a guest post?

I personally do think guest posts are just a free filler content for your website.
I see people rejecting them if not paid.

If the article provided has good quality and related to your niche, I personally believe that guest posts only have a positive impact on a site.

Offering 1 or 2 external links won't hurt your site. Yoast thinks it is good. Combine with additional wikipedia link and 2 or 3 internal thinks, you are good to go.

I have a 2-month site with MOZ DA of 8. Is accepting good quality guest posts a good idea?

Please guide me on this.

who have good metrics and organic traffic on a website they won't accept a free guest post. because they work for make money with that blog/sites then how can they accept free?

This will be a really good idea to increase your site metrics. Always content matters, add quality contents frequently. By the same time share your article in social media pages too.
 
Most people project good guest posts because they are afraid of their domain authority decreasing But this won't happen if you write about topics related to your blog and link to websites that are directly related to your blog
 
Its all about the webmaster's perspective, nowadays people charge for the guest post to get a link on their site. But in SEO terms submitting a guest post or accepting it won't matter much as par the content is relevant and to the niche with some relevant links added to it.

Because most people offering free posts are not writing to provide value to the readers of the website, but rather to link to their own website.

If you're building a website that you care about, you don't want "filler" content. You want content that people will read and link to. You want content that enriches your brand reputation.

I've accepted several offers to publish posts. But when the articles arrive, they are always written in poor English and don't provide value to the readers.

If you're adding in Wikipedia links as standard, it shows that you're not really considering what other sources to link to. You're just linking to "authority" sites because someone once said on a blog that you should do. Why not link to a real authority on that subject?

- Authority blogs who have good metrics don't accept guest posts for free. Since the purpose of their site is to make money, why would they accept free guest posts? They should make money with every opportunity they got.
- I kinda agree with you. Big sites should charge to publish guest posts on their website. But for smaller and new sites with content scarcity, accepting and posting good quality guest posts help to increase your metrics. You should keep in mind that you are getting a quality content for free. Just make sure you only post niche relevant high-quality content. Guest posts are a win win for both parties.

Yes, quality content helps. Niche related high-quality guest posts are just a free version of content.

Guest posts must be niche relevant, otherwise they won't add value to your site.

I think you are right on the Wikipedia links. It is good to ink to variety niche related sites. Obviously, accepting all guest posts is not a good idea. Only choose high quality ones.
 
Your OP is a bit confusing. Are you wanting to add content to your site, or write content for other sites which includes a link back to you?

You put: "I have a 2-month site with MOZ DA of 8. Is accepting good quality guest posts a good idea?" - which suggests you're wanting to accept posts onto YOUR site. This won't increase the DA.

I want to accept post onto my site to increase the content of my website. And, I think more posts with social shares increase DA.

I've never seen additional content on the same site contribute to an increased DA. I've only seen it rise, when the site has achieved new backlinks - links from other sites pointing back to yours.
 
becouse it got to be manually looked at and most website owners dont care as it not needed at the time .

Sure backlinks are the main factor. But, content and age also has its own factor. My first website has a DA of 16. I never do backlinks. Only content and age.

If you don't check manually, your website will be a trash.
 
Accepting free post, reduces the barrier to entry to virtually none. And this would dilute the DA very quickly as every new post would be a guest post.

People who're into outreach keep lists of sites that accept "Free Guest Posts" and share them frequently with their comrades and that is how you get "popular".

Charging a fee for a post, no matter how minuscule increases the barrier to entry and at the same time ensures you get paid for your time, and the OBL on your site.

Guest posts are nothing but link purchases - you providing the content is just a formality that doesn't hold any value. The content you provide will not add any value to the site, nor will it make money for the site owner in any way. The only person who'll end up making money is you, with your sweet sweet ranking increase. So it's only fair that they charge a fee.

I have guests post pages on all my sites and depending on my site history and metrics, I charge for every guest post. I also have very strict rules and editorial guidelines on what can and cannot be posted.
 
I've received hundreds of guest post submissions in multiple niches and I can GUARANTEE you that 99.9% of them were absolute trash. When you work hard to build an authority site, you become careful with the content that you add to your site. Your readers expect a certain degree of quality. Most guest posts (unless written by another expert in the niche) is usually just fluff with no actual helpful content.

I've stopped reading submissions and automatically reject them because its usually a waste of time.
 
I don't accept free or paid guest posts because I'm afraid the buyer would try and build backlinks to the page. The last thing I need is some dude shit blasting my site with $1 PBN links. It's just not worth the $50/100/250 or whatever I would charge to publish the post.

What if I only accept high-quality niche related posts with good keywords to rank?
Since my site is new, nobody would be interested to pay me for a guest post. So, what if I start with free and charge when my site DA increase.
