Why do people reject good guest posts?

Like for real, why do you reject a guest post?

I personally do think guest posts are just a free filler content for your website.
I see people rejecting them if not paid.

If the article provided has good quality and related to your niche, I personally believe that guest posts only have a positive impact on a site.

Offering 1 or 2 external links won't hurt your site. Yoast thinks it is good. Combine with additional wikipedia link and 2 or 3 internal thinks, you are good to go.

I have a 2-month site with MOZ DA of 8. Is accepting good quality guest posts a good idea?

I've accepted several offers to publish posts. But when the articles arrive, they are always written in poor English and don't provide value to the readers.

If you're adding in Wikipedia links as standard, it shows that you're not really considering what other sources to link to. You're just linking to "authority" sites because someone once said on a blog that you should do. Why not link to a real authority on that subject?

- I kinda agree with you. Big sites should charge to publish guest posts on their website. But for smaller and new sites with content scarcity, accepting and posting good quality guest posts help to increase your metrics. You should keep in mind that you are getting a quality content for free. Just make sure you only post niche relevant high-quality content. Guest posts are a win win for both parties.

I think you are right on the Wikipedia links. It is good to ink to variety niche related sites. Obviously, accepting all guest posts is not a good idea. Only choose high quality ones.

I want to accept post onto my site to increase the content of my website. And, I think more posts with social shares increase DA.

I've never seen additional content on the same site contribute to an increased DA. I've only seen it rise, when the site has achieved new backlinks - links from other sites pointing back to yours.

Sure backlinks are the main factor. But, content and age also has its own factor. My first website has a DA of 16. I never do backlinks. Only content and age.

When you work hard to build an authority site, you become careful with the content that you add to your site. Your readers expect a certain degree of quality. I've stopped reading submissions and automatically reject them because its usually a waste of time.

What if I only accept high-quality niche related posts with good keywords to rank?
Since my site is new, nobody would be interested to pay me for a guest post. So, what if I start with free and charge when my site DA increase.
