Why do people need stealth Paypal accounts?

I feel silly.

I keep seeing posts on the forum relating to extracting money from a "Stealth Paypal" account, could someone enlighten me on what these are for?

Why do you need PayPal with a fake name on?

Why is it not easier to create a business account and attach an actual PayPal to that, seems silly to risk money over it.

i had a paypal account get suspended and months later i came back and opened a new account

So, are we talking about personal PayPal accounts here?
If so, why not set up a business account?

I understand how this would prohibit a personal account, but if it were a business and PayPal was how I accepted the majority of my income - wouldn't it be sensible to have an offshore bank account connected with a PayPal account to make it all legit?

Thanks for the replies guys, it's making a little more sense now - In fact, the whole thing becomes clear if we are not talking about a lot of money. $$ & (low) $$$ PCM rather than $,$$$ PCM.

This happens if you want to receive big amounts of money and your paypal is waaay to new and would flag it. So you can spread in between different Paypals (Stealth Paypals).

I geuss you could also go with a Business Paypal so that way you would be able to get a stronger one.

But not everyone has that option

@TheAlmightyDada Because they only think short term . They are stuck in the quick-blackhat-not-longterm mindset (most of them , not all) .

The fact that the common term is "stealth paypal" says already a lot about the common audience

I have never seen anyone who uses fake paypal accounts handling over 50k revenue monthly . If you have a different experience , please share it with us .

I fully agree with that . When it comes to certain amounts of revenue , not being able to transfer money - without they fear of meeting the tax man - becomes very unpractical and hurts the business .

Because PayPal is not available for my country. So I have to get a stealth account.

I personally believe that this is typically a strategy used for people who are looking to scam people for the most part. I understand that Paypal is a pain in the ass and some people have gotten a raw deal and may need something like this in order to earn a living, however, most people are looking to buy an account, convince someone to send them money to it for whatever purpose, take the money and profit and run and buy another stealth paypal account. If your above board it is way easier and smarter to just create a proper business account and do honest business with people.

i don't believe people always use paypal for scamming, most of the time people use it because they don't have any option because paypal guys sometimes make your account limited without any reason.

From What I know, it's harder now to make stealth business accounts or something along those lines, so no one really offers it.

Everything Paypal does has a reason aka policy . If we like those reasons or not is a different question .

Maybe most of the people on BHW are not used to conduct business . When we created our business Paypal , we called them , asked if they need any documents . We provided them and never had any limitations etc .

Most of the the time it's some harmless thing, like being under age or their country not supporting PP.

i have a personal experience with paypal
few months back i invoiced my client for $350 in exchange for a service, my client sent me the money and next day paypal limited my account and asked for documentation and identity proofs, i provided all the documentation requested but my account was never restored even after calling them several times and they were not able to give a valid reason.

no doubt paypal is one of the best payment processors but there habit of limiting the account is what i don't like
