Why do big FB pages don't post links anymore?

I haven't been following facebook pages for a long time, but I remember that most big pages, espeically memes, viral, facts pages, used to post links every other post

But now it seems like no one posts any links anymore, why is that? And how they're profiting from it nowadays?

The pages (at least those I subscribed to) are still posting links, it's just they are instant articles now.

The pages I am following are still posting links. Maybe the pages you are talking about had problems with their reach after posting links and are now trying to gain it back?
