Why do all backlink packages seem to be scams?

I'm trying to find one *reliable* backlink service, but every single one either 1) lies about the DA of their pages or 2) the pages aren't indexed by google. How do you guys figure out who to trust??

In every BST, there is this line from the BST Approver

For Buyers: The quality of the product or service that I receive is what you should expect, or better. If you feel that the quality of the service has dropped significantly, please let us know via the report button.

If you don't receive that is advertised, you report it and make sure the Marketplace Mods are aware.

Some people may think they are slick and reduce the quality after initial approval, that's why the community is encouraged to step up to help the community, no bad experiences should be left unsaid.

Not all services will "Guarantee Indexation by google"
Rule of thumb is, if you are having trouble getting it indexed by google, they probably ain't worth your time to begin with.
If you are buying spammy links, like forum links or Web2.0s, there a very very very very very very high chance they wont ever get indexed.
That's the reality of those links. Unless says otherwise on the BST, it's up to you to get them indexed.

This is what Reviews from the community is for.
Anyone who is posting fake reviews or equivalent should be reported right away.

The best way to figure out who to trust is to talk to the seller, find out if they are a good fit.
Listen to their experience, if you feel they have no idea what they are on about, then that's more than likely the full extent to their experience and they are offloading work to their team.
Browse the forum, some sellers drop a shit-ton of knowledge on us, take a look at @t0mmy @splishsplash @MisterF just naming three as a quick example (There are wayyyyy more), over the years, they have dropped AMAMs to full essay guides or simply just helping the community on their SEO/Website related questions.

If I had to trust someone with my SEO, that's where I will be looking for.

Many of those seem like scams because they are based on old strategies which generally don't work very well anymore.

However, they are cheap, so you kind of get what you pay for.

If you want good links, you'd have to learn what defines an authoritative website, and then somehow convince that website to allow your link, or find a seller who can do that for you. Unfortunately, although many of the websites provided by guest post sellers here are good websites, many of them use websites which are on guest posting lists, instead of doing manual outreach to less-spammed websites, with for example, lower OBL counts, etc.

It is not necessary to answer with sophistry, especially if no one has quoted you. Nobody buys anything because they wants to get shit in return, so even though you're right on a purely literary level, technically you're wrong.

There are a few good PBN services and some people that do great niche edits. A very solid PBN on here is Wolf of Blog Street and it actually brings results.

No, you are not right.
The BST sellers should be selling EXCATLY what they said they will.
Whether it is good or bad, that's judgement purely on the buyer, just because it is links that ain't worth your while, doesn't make him a scammer.
The good's value is always worth differently for each consumer.

So no, unless the BST Seller is not being honest about their service, they are NOT scamming.

You think GSA Blast are bad? I am sure there people here can make use of them.
You think PBNs are bad? I am sure there someone who can make it work here.
It's depends on solely what you use them for, yes, GSA blast are not great for money sites, but that doesn't mean it's a scam.

A lot of backlinks even don't index in google
We all know index services are not work now
And many shit quality content use spun content
You definitely know these and you choose you don't see them

That member said all the services offered here suck (I paraphrased) and I want to help them with those that did not provide what the original post in the sales thread said it would provide.

It had nothing to do with backlinking in Google, and index services shit quality content, but rather the specific services that member bought that were a scam.

I'm a Marketplace Mod and I handle the lion's share of the SL threads so me having that information I can investigate and make BHW, as well as the whole world, a better place.

It's crazy what BTB sometimes has to do in order to help

If you want decent links you either have to go for building your own (PBN or outreaching),
or order from someone who has a good reputation out there, not just a ton of fancy fake reviews,
a good PBN would be the one built with some good domains, well-taken care of while building & maintaining and especially with limited and low OBL,
the ideal situation would be getting homepage links but usually you'll have to rent such links,
guest posting & niche edits are easier to spot the bad ones as you'll have all the data in hand before ordering,
just check the website traffic, number of ranking keywords, the difficulty of top-ranking keywords (and how many of them) and the content quality published,
overall, if you really want something of quality, you'll have to pay well for it, nothing good comes cheap

How much you spend here on BHW, come up with proof. And were you knowing anything about the stuff you were buying. That will it help your website or not based on the competition or have you asked seller.
If you will choose extremely cheap service, at the end you will nothing except crying foul.

Also, have you gone for shitlist when you found crap. You might be like a voter who never vote but cry foul after election.

I patronize those already trusted. If you're sure the links you received do not meet thr advertised requirements, then you can ask for s refund open a shitlist as others have been doing.

I have tried many link packages here, Fiverr, Seoclerk.
Cheap and not cheap.
The conclusion is - don't do it.
It is way cheaper to build your own PBN.

You can read reviews from other members. Ignore the reviews from very new profiles and check the reviews made by old members here with good trust on the forum.

If you seen any service or thread not providing same service as they described in their thread you can report them.

How many services you try ?
Make sure to compare, what you are paying and what you are expecting. (for example if you buy 1-2 $ PBN link and expect that you will get 600-700 words quality unique content post, on a quality PBN with low OB, then your expectations are wrong)

If you find any seller not delivering what they mention in there sale thread, like wrong DA or other matrix, just report to MOD.

Page Indexation is a big headache these days, but that depend on google.

In market place, there are 2 type of service provider.

One who sale real SEO, like they will guide you anything from keyword research to link building.

Another one, who sale just service, which is mostly used by seo companies and the person who know, what they are purchasing and how to utilize that service.
so if you dont know how to utilize any service you are buying, its better to go with option one.
