Might of been to do with the enforced SSL?
 
Because they prefer that you focus on adwords to get visitors...
 
Having the keywords lets you focus more on organic traffic.

They''ve been showing 'not provided' for years but its massively increased the last few months. I don't bother with keyword traffic as such. Target your pages with the right keywords, when they're ranked you can work out how that traffic is interacting once on the website by the page they've landed on etc.

Yes, that's "Webmaster tools". In left sidebar you have Search Traffic/Search analysis. That's where organic keyword data lies.
 
simply, because they can, and the less data they give out the better for them
 
There are tuts on the web how to get back some more of the keywords, not all but way more.
