why did google remove search terms from analytics accounts?

    Having the keywords lets you focus more on organic traffic.

    So you have to register and use their Search Console. That's where you can track organic search terms.

    I'm not talking about keyword tracking. I'm referring to seeing what people are searching for to get to your site.

    They''ve been showing 'not provided' for years but its massively increased the last few months. I don't bother with keyword traffic as such. Target your pages with the right keywords, when they're ranked you can work out how that traffic is interacting once on the website by the page they've landed on etc.

    Yes, that's "Webmaster tools". In left sidebar you have Search Traffic/Search analysis. That's where organic keyword data lies.

    There are tuts on the web how to get back some more of the keywords, not all but way more.
