Why Did All The (Quiz Sites) Threads Suddenly Stopped !!?

I'm looking to start a few quiz sites, infact you reminded me that I need to supply one of my VA's with stuff to do, compiling quiz material might just be it.

Honestly; it's not easy as it looks.

A few hard sides:
-Ctr/rpm rates are at least 10x lower than a usual blog, so your earnings. Popular ad providers like Adsense, Adthrive, Mediavine... do not like quiz websites.
-Preparing quizzes sounds easy but not at all. After some time, you would see that writing an article in a blog that you are interested in is even easier.
-Getting traffic is hard. If you are thinking to go with social media traffic from the beginning, good luck not to get banned your account + your domain.

I don't say it's not possible. What I want to say is; Quiz website is NOT an easy money as it sounds.

You need to take care it as a real business and you need to be consistent. Yes, you can run it as a side job/project, but then you need to have a great budget or a great amount of time to be successfull.

I still looking that shining object , " aka auto update fresh quiz daily without me think of what to do " but even if yes i feel will be " subscription base as the developer have to come out daily new quiz for those users subscibe his /her service "

I always like to pay just One time lifetime usage.

nevertheless , i bet those doing Quiz now surely do " USA PE stuffs trump vs Biden for sure " should not say Quiz is more like Polling

I just created one and I am waiting for Adsense to accept me

Just like 95% (I am being optimistic here, probably more like 99%) of all journey threads get abandoned.
Why?

Shiny object syndrome, failure, laziness etc.

Very few put a lot of time into it and abandon once they see it is hard word. As was said, quizzes are super easy to make, but even harder than your regular SEO blog as by just letting it sit there you will never get any traffic, you need to actively promote.

With that said, you can do that as a side project, I would not spend 40 hours a week just on the quiz site to start out.
This!
Adult tube and quiz sites should be treated as a side projects!

You are totally right. Like anything in this world - if you're into what you're doing it's relatively easy, if you're not, it's hard. Some make millions with just drawing a painting, others do nuclear work and barely make it.

Because I work with advertising I chose to work with quizzes as this content is bringing the necessary behavior and performance that is easy to monetize.

When the average site visit is 1-3 pages the quiz site visit is 10-30 pages per visit, so it's normal and understandable that CTR is 10x lower. It's a different approach, but it's not necessarily a bad thing. While it is pretty hard to make revenue from 1-3 page visits and 5-10 ad impressions on those pages, it is way easier to make more revenue, even with lower rates, with 10-30 pages and 50-150 ad impressions.

While I don't focus on SEO for my sites, I personally know quiz sites that solely rely on SEO...and they make more than some of my sites and more than many other sites.

Ad networks do like quiz sites! But generally, ad networks like specific types of sites - those that bring in money, that's the first thing they want to know about your site.

Preparing quizzes could be a hard and long process, but it pays well. If you like doing tests, assessing performance, working with analytics, you will have more fun with creating quizzes, and even more fun when finding that perfect quiz recipe. You can always copy the idea and apply own twist to it.

Traffic is something worth fighting for - every online project needs traffic, whatever your niche is. The easiest way is create a community around your site, and it's not that hard. It may take some time, but registering on social media and using something like SNAP, should help!

That’s fine but let’s be honest it’s still hard. Groups don’t like quizzes so besides paid traffic where does that leave you really.

I don't think you know what you are talking about. Your only limit is your laziness and imagination.

I know exactly what I’m talking about. I get it that your sell it but that doesn’t give you the right to talk to me like that. What I said was indeed accurate. You can’t spam quizzes round FB, Reddit because they will get removed in most cases.

You clearly don't. I am passionate about quizzes and ads - that's true. I can talk to you any way I want as long as I am within the ToS of BHW. If you get offended by the polite suggestion that you don't know much about the topic, this can be a tough place for the faint-hearted, and you may want to think next time before you leave a reply.

While I do work a lot with paid traffic almost all my tests conducted using free traffic & SEO, before I work paid traffic, and unless this is a paid traffic test. All the methods I shared were tested by me personally, and if I shared them - they work. It's not just my experience, but the experience of dozens, sometimes, hundreds of other users I work with. Facts backed up by the statistics & revenue. No need to be a genius, just browse the forum and see what other journey threads do, they share the stats, the revenue, and how they drive traffic.

Let's be honest, while it is really easy process, I get that it could be hard for some people, we agree on that. It could be hard and lazy even to type this message, but I still did. Nobody is forcing you to do quizzes, you can do SemRush group-buy for $1 (that you can refund), but it doesn't look like a long term business to me. This would be hard for me.

You’re the seller so of course you’re going to back your product. I used the wrong choice of words I guess, my point was don’t assume you know what I’ve tried before. I have tried posting into social media groups before and normally it ends with removals.

I understand there may be money to be made with paid traffic but for that you need money up front, and I’m not quite sure what type of angle you’d need. Anyway, I stick by what I said before regarding social media posting because the quizzes do get removed based on what I’ve read/tested with other stuff in the past.

Sure, SEO might work to what extent I could not say really, but building a site for the purpose of quizzes to me doesn’t seem worth it really when you can be building it to make more money promoting affiliate products and so on.

Most of the users who saw my posts know what I do, it's not a secret. Your point is pointless, I understand that you think that defending something silly you said is better than agreeing (not). I didn't assume you didn't try, I said you don't know what you talking about, this could be due to a bunch of reasons: lack of tries, not understanding the process, giving up too soon, diarrhea, etc. I said it's not for everyone, like cooking, and if that not for you, it doesn't mean it's hard or not working, it means you just couldn't do it and prefer something else.

SEO/Social Media free traffic is harder to bring than paid, that's not a secret. You didn't master it, not everyone does, it's fine, it didn't work for you - can work for others.

It can work to an extent where you don't need a daily job anymore, here in the US, not India. If I didn't know that for a fact quiz sites that get good SEO traffic, I wouldn't comment about it.

If the whole quiz idea doesn't seem worth to you - that's totally okay. That's what I said, you can work promoting someone else's products on CPA if that's closer to you, others prefer working for themselves and promoting their own quiz sites. It's just a matter of choice.

Link me to three successful journeys on BHW that have made it a success

Think about it:

- Why would your quiz site rank organically? There are likely tons of others and unless someone searches exactly for your quiz topic , just unlikely...

But, if you choose very niche ones you can definitely make it work. Do not let me or the lack of continuing journeys deter you. What do you have to lose from trying?

Good luck

Quiz sites rank, and they rank very easily. That's all I gotta say...

Maybe because it isn't as easy as it sounds? Perhaps those who succeed actually enjoy creating the quizes so they stay motivated. The rest may have just fallen off.

You go to an Instagram page and you see 10 quizzes already shouted out, so you know you are screwed.
