You cannot message anyone until you have completed fifteen post. After completing 15 posts, you will get an option Start Conversation.

Perfect, I had someone ask me to PM and was starting to feel pretty silly as to why I couldn't find the button to PM him
 
I have a little over 15 posts, but havre not been promoted to Newbie+. Does it take some time to get promoted?

Ah, I thought it was 10 posts but it was actually 15.

Probably a good feature to combat spam.
 
thanks for the tip, i was all over the forum looking on how to message people. I needed to ask something a freelancer that I was prospecting before I make a purchase.
 
Trying to reply to a PM but it keeps getting market as SPAM (no matter what I try), any ideas?
