New account deactivated within a day of it opening. Twitter request a phone number. Provided one 2 days later . When keying in my number iy said " Unsupported telephone number". Contacted Twitter via their help page 6 times.. Been near enough a week. No reply?

You and your Twitter issues... It's a big site, they provide you with a free service (unless you pay for ads). What's the basis of your complaints? All the big sites are heavily understaffed, when it comes to support. They don't/can't answer every and any support ticket. They don't have a personal agenda against you, you're just one of the million, who doesn't get an answer, get over it.

If you have a suspended account, they have an automated system in place, which prevents you from opening new accounts. They use fraud prevention services, so among other things they have access to phone number databases, which gets sold over the net. If you want to make a new account and you want it to work 100%, use a new device (if you used all your devices, older used android phones are cheap), use a new ip address (if you have dynamic ip address, that should do, if not, use a quality proxy) and get a physical SIM card, so you can re-verify, whenever it's needed. It can easily be done for cheap, if you don't want to manage many accounts.

Lets start from the beginning: Where did you get the phone number from and was it already used on a Twitter Account?

I had JUST created the account. I had not provided my number at that point and none was requested. Within 24 hours of my posts, my account was locked requesting a number. Which i provided and it said that it was an unsupported number, When i contacted them, they refuse to answer or acknowledge my email..Mind you , i had sent 7 helps requests by then

Is it the Call Me (phone call) Verification or the Send Code (sms) verification?

There is no damn reason to be rude. It has upset the hell outta me having unjusitiably lost my account. Your insensitive macho nastyiness doesnt help and is not called for. I appreciate the fact a forum like this has been created to assist and give answers to people who have gone through a similar situation and more incites /solutions given that the platforms themselves neglect to do because of their greed.

I do not understand what you mean by a physical SIM card because my number is a genuine number provided by a geunine provider- no other else to obtain a mobile number without a SIM:(

At the end of the day you CHOOSE to address my post. If you do not like what you read , you do not have to read it . It is really that simple.

the number was from your moblie

on here as marketers we use pAid numbers from services not our own or a sim
, this is why your getting confused .

you need to use a service to get a number or a new sim it chesp with services .

can use the misc on here to find one ok

In the past year (1), twitter has significantly step up their security system. You're pretty much forced to add a number to your account. If you get unsupported Number error, it means that twitter has blocked these type of number. You should try smspva.com or something similar.

Btw, Twitter contact is shit. They don't care about your account untill it gets suspended.

FWIW, I've set up 3 new accounts in the past week for various things. Each of them required phone verification, but they'e all working.

This is not your first post around the same subject and you still wonder why the support of these big sites is unhelpful in the vast majority of the cases, hence the intro of my post. I simply told you what's what without sugar-coating. You call me rude, when you're the one, who's calling the Twitter staff cunts.

If you came for a solution, you're on the right forum. If you wanted a place, where users call the Twitter staff as a whole cunts, it's not the most appropriate place.

Okay, so onto the actual helping part. That's what Heiko asked, the kind of number you used. So it turns out, that it's an actual number from a provider, a physical SIM, which makes me think, that the number is ok, it must be something else. Have you changed the ip address and device since they suspended your account (when you made your first thread on BHW)? Everything is connected, if you re-use anything, which was used before, they can link your new account to previous (suspended) ones and your new account(s) will be suspended too eventually or they simply lock them and no matter what, you won't be able to unlock them, which is exactly what you experience now. It's also not their personal agenda, it's an automated system.

If you want make a new account, you need to give it a fresh start. A new device, new ip address, new phone number. This is the easiest way, which works for sure.

It's a Twitter standard that new accounts are almost immediatelly forced to being connected with phone number under the pretext of "weird activity" or something like that. I was forced to connect phone number when trying to upload avatar, hahaha :D.

Right now you are acting like a bully trying to gain attention. I do not know why you feel the need to respond to my post. If you are tired of it WHY the hell are you responding?

Then why the hell are they not responding to the problem i am having verifying it because of the " unsupported number"?

Maybe they just recognized that number not a valid mobile but rather some spammy internet verification sms service or something similar? I don't know.
