people need to check the email addresses sent from "facebook" . these people come with some ridiculous email addresses.

There are a few reasons why it feels like more Facebook accounts are getting hacked lately.
First, a lot of login credentials are already circulating on the internet from previous data breaches and malware. In 2025 researchers found datasets containing around 16 billion leaked login records, many collected by “infostealer” malware that steals saved passwords from infected computers.
Second, many users still reuse the same password across different websites. When one site gets breached, hackers try those credentials on Facebook and other platforms.

This could be caused by the seller of your Facebook account; they are very sophisticated, they even save Facebook profile cookies to retrieve them after selling it to you.
In my opinion, you should change your 2FA code to be safe.

Bad news: They sometimes make mistake. You can face many errors from them. But you can still contact FB support team to solve your problem.
 
People just aren't using two-factor authentication or if these scammers are just getting ridiculously good at phishing, it's wild.

it's mostly cookie logging and malicious browser extensions targeting fb business users to steal ad accounts and credit card info

use a hardware security key and clear ur cookies often to stay safe
 
You should turn on 2FA and connect your whatsapp, this makes it much harder for anyone hack your account or steal your info
