Why Are My Articles Ranking?

The keyword that is ranking the best is only 1 word, the longest keyword I have is about 3 words. My keyword research however, I spent a good amount of time doing.



So, pretty much what you are telling me, is that copyscape and other software used to check for plagiarism is never accurate.

Hey Advancing, I'm just curious, how did you go about doing your keyword research? You said you spent a good deal of time on it, I would certainly like to know what you did... If you're willing to share

That opens up an interesting doorway; perhaps searching for mid to high competition keywords and checking those sites for spun or plagiarized articles would be a good way to compete for those rankings.then again, if they did have that stuff they probably wouldn't rank that well anyway. Worth a look into I suppose.

Yes. Out of place adjectives, grammar errors with plurals, etc.

@OP just because something passes Copyscape doesn't mean that it's good content that Google will like. There's more to it than that.

The easiest way to answer your question is to compare the two articles. What are you doing that he isn't? Make a list and send it to him. Ask him to mimic your writing style.

Or, just get a writer who actually writes stuff from scratch. You'll find that upwards of $2-3/100 words.

No real special method. After I decided my niche, I typed in words related to the niche in Google. I wrote down the top 3 websites of each word I had entered into Google. Then I looked up those website's keywords with the highest traffic, and made a list of them.

I've compared the articles. The English on his articles is not terrible, but not necessarily perfect either. There is no grammatical errors, or anything like that in the articles he writes.

However, I can't say the same for mine. They may or may not have errors in them. Like I mentioned before, I didn't really spend too much time on each article. One of the reasons I didn't research before writing the content is because, I was being lazy, and felt that researching would take more time then I cared to spend.

So, if the plagiarism software can't identify plagiarized material, the only way for one to truly know they have an original piece, is if they are standing in front of the writer watching them come up with it from scratch.

If I started selling articles, then that would be less time for me to spend on writing my own. Especially since I have to write my own, because there is no way to know someone else wrote original content.
