Why are more people not doing this?

A. Dozens of people do this. Seek them locally.
B. Clickbank pays $30 per sale on average which will not cover the adwords fees. Adwords is not like it was 3 years ago. No competition doesn't mean cheap traffic.
C. Clickbank is full of fraud. Whether conducted by their sleazy tracking system, or the vendor thieves, this is a lose-lose.

Clickbank is a waste of time in my point of view - but that's mine. I don't spend 3 days setting up a $20 per sale operation.
$300 per sale is more like it.

Cheers.

Are you still doing affiliate marketing or have you moved on to something else?

Right now, my business is basically nothing. I was focusing on PPV for a while, but it got way too expensive. Some days would be great, but most were not

Currently, I am focusing like crazy on SEO. The great thing was that 60% of my business was coming from one keyword. I am in the middle of page 2 for that keyword now, but that gets me no traffic

I get crazy frustrated with SEO, but I cannot get back on Adwords, no matter what I try, so SEO is really my only option. And I guess a high SEO ranking is better than a high PPC rank, because the costs are so much lower, but what I really like about Adwords is that, IMO, the results stand out more

Thanks for the reply. Yes, seo will out perform ppc any day...at least I find that to be true. One of my business is build around generating all our leads CIA organic search only and it has worked out very well.

Make sure to redirect your affiliate links or else you'll get a QS of 1 out of 10 and won't get any impressions.

thanks a lot will try a bit different method. if it's workin will post info in 'ere, thanks for interesting way.

You should also try getting hold of some free facebook advertising vouchers and run targeted campaigns.

I made a small amount using this method. In fact it was the first method I learned and used.

Remember to optimize your page for your keywords or the cost of your google ppc will be obscene.

Good luck!

Google is pretty much coming down on eBooks and Clickbank in general (along with a lot of CPA stuff).

Mike Geary (Truth About Abs) sent out an email a while back where he said he had actually considered pulling TAA off of Clickbank because of all the problems.

I dunno - at this point, I just use AdWords to collect leads. If your website complies with Google ToS/AdWords Guidelines (lots of disclosure, very transparent etc.) you can easily collect leads.

Once you collect the address your auto-responder eventually gives them the affiliate link.

But go to google and type in 'truth about abs review' - you'll see 1 or 2 ads pop up.

It used to be about 8-9.

I'm guessing these guys "snuck by" and will eventually get slapped too.
