I know its something to do with shadow banning and bots on the explore page, but that's about it. Can anyone give some insight tot this, what are the positives and negatives?

One reason could be to avoid spam automated accounts from following them, they prefer to pick manually who their followers are.

private share for shares are the fastest method to grow so far. thats why. why is this? I don't know but the effects are the same. Rapid growth.
