Hey everyone! I’m curious why websites with a Domain Authority of 90 are so rare and valuable that people offer services to build them or to provide backlinks from them.
I’m not very familiar with SEO, so I’d appreciate any insights. Thanks!

Please explain ? It's like an illusion ? A fake need created by marketers to sell SEO products that don't really matters ?
That’s right. It’s an illusion. DR/DA is never something Google has used. They have their own metrics which is nearly incomprehensible at this point. Seems randomized, not predictable like it was in past times.

DR/DA is great for people selling backlinks, but not great for actual results as far as Google rankings. These metrics are a gimmick at best. It’s a matter of probability. 50/50 shot at most.

And what does it matter in the end? Even first place rankings don’t guarantee a click.

Digging in this forum and talking to people here is like a gold mine, I can't stop digging. If metrics aren't that important to generate traffic. Ads/cold lead are really better. At the end of the day, it's the power of persuation to transform a lead to a client that is really what we need to foocus on. You proved my point !

because people can be sheep and they look forward on more "authoritative" sites

At this point you need a mix of methods to gain predictable traffic.

I spam contact forms in creative ways with automated tools. That does bring traffic and surprisingly if you do it right it does bring sales, because you have to inspire interest. The way I do it also creates brand searches because I don’t use hyperlinks.

I build PBNs with at most 7-10 outbound links per website. That’s a real private blog network. It works. Exclusive links. Not guest posting.

I still build web2 but it’s mostly using Google sites with automated spam links behind it.

You need to be on YouTube, instagram, and Reddit. And you need to target search results with your content like you would with your website. Keyword research is even more important now than ever. If you want traffic you use social media sites and generate content that will bring traffic as long as you can rank for it with these parasites (the social media websites).

Eventually you will wind up on top for your keywords and you will be recommended by ai. You want to be recommended by ai. Ai scrapes Google, Reddit and YouTube for its answers.

Your approach to content needs to evolve past typical ai generated content with BS tools you pay for like Jarvis or “zimmwriter.” You need to have content on “moderated” websites, like those mentioned above. Mentions are what’s important now.

Spun content doesn’t work. DA/DR is an absolute mockery of an SEOs intelligence in 2025 and beyond. These services will and should disappear. But probably not for another decade because people just want to buy and rank. Like the magic pill that will cure their ails.

With the way things are now if you’re not everywhere, you’re nowhere.

DA 90 sites are rare because they require huge authority and long-term trust
making their links very valuable.

Think of a DA 90+ website like a celebrity endorsement online very rare, highly trusted, and powerful for boosting your site’s credibility.

You are not familiar with SEO, that's not a big deal bro. We are here to help you! DA 90 sites are valuable because they have huge trust, massive backlinks, and strong age behind them. A link from a site like that passes more authority than hundreds of low-DA links. They’re rare, hard to get, and that’s why people pay for access.

DA90+ sites got legacy trust + insane backlink graph. they pass weight cause G already trusts ‘em. most sold links there are recycled or nofollow. focus on niche-relevant mid DA w clean profiles, easier to rank steady

Because these are seem like authority websites who have trust. Even if the metrics are not from google they still relay on the basic of googel alghotithm

DA 90 means the site has extremely strong authority in Moz’s metrics. Only a small fraction of the web reaches that level. Since you can’t easily create one yourself, people pay for backlinks from them.

But DA90 sites are not even considereted by Google, so why buy then ?

If it's a DA 90+ website and you never heard its name, then it's better to avoid the backlink. These metrics mean nothing when the site lacks the authority and brand reputation.

It sounds like you're experienced, bro. How long have you been in SEO? What niches? Can you recommend any good content about GEO?

DA 90+ sites are rare because theyve built years of trust, backlinks and traffic. Links from them carry a lot of SEO weight.

because people believe that DA is juat the holy grail to rank in serps when in reality they are just some random made-up metric from ahrefs
