I think this is because men are more driven to make money (as they are filled with testosterone) and be the provider on average, where as women have more nurturing instincts. Also, women expect to be pursued whereas men naturally assume the pursuer's role in mating. Perhaps this drives men to be financially successful, more so than women.

Men want to have power over the world, women want power over powerful men.

Just my thoughts, may not be true.

I know people assume gender quite a lot when they don't know for sure, and I also know that they will usually default to male. Hell, I've been guilty of this myself.
OP asked why internet marketers are usually male, and I gave him a reason for why it might appear that way. I wasn't really condemning people for doing it.

It's easy to say that women just don't want high paying jobs, but the reality is that it isn't that simple. You actually made a thread here about how correlation doesn't equal causation.
You need to apply the same level of thinking to the "facts" that women typically have lower paying jobs then men. Yeah, the first obvious assumption is just that women don't want to have nice, high paying jobs for whatever reason. But there are so many other factors you need to take into consideration.

That's a fair point and it works the other way too. There is another member on here that is a man but uses a female avatar/username and I've noticed that people tend to take them less seriously than most.
