Why a web-proxy is NOT providing anonymity !

From china use plain tor or my product (cloakfish, see my sig), it will also encrypt your traffic.
A normal socks or http proxy can be firewalled, encrypted connections can not be content filtered.

Thanks to answer my question. I will check out hidemyass soon. In China, there are lots of websites can't be open, really a pain.

GoTrusted secure tunnel is alot better than web proxies trying them as I write. Speed is good, not much different in speed when using it either. The cloakfish site doesnt detect me using any proxies thats with scripts disabled aswell however when trying it on whatismyipaddress.com it says "Suspected proxy server or network sharing device" The Blacklist test is clean at the moment. The pros: is you get a 7day trial after that $5.95 128bit encryption no logs fast speed. anonymous however suspected proxy detected on WIMIA Test TRUE

the cons: with this service is everytime you reconnect your assigned a new ip address on one of there servers. I dont think you can swap and change at your own leisure.

Update tried test on other pc same result thats without using The tunnel I think the reason why it show WIMIA test TRUE is because I'm on a home network with my other machines sharing the same network connection.

Just as general note: Any commercial proxy provider using his servers for the proxy-service can not provide real trustworthy anonymity.
a) in many countries they are required by law to log your IP and store it for a long time
b) authorities can always gain access and sniff or install logging devices

It depends on what you do, if you just do normal link building it's unlikely you'll get into troubles anyway.
Any ways that generate direct money including cookie stuffing can be a risk as you'r likely to violate laws or create "civil damages".

The key is to know what you are doing, to know what protection you have and to know about the risks. Then you'll not be suprised at least

P.S.
The cloakfish proxychecker is not using hostname analysis or blacklists, it will only test for web proxies and http proxies to see if your IP is leaking through.
