Clicked through the "hidden wiki" lots of scam, and honeypots.
 
I have bought many things and services there. Many people think that there you can find only illegal things but actually you can find many good things over there... There are several reputable marketplaces with escrow system so your money is usually safe. But of course you have to check seller rates etc. It's not in their interest to scam on those marketplaces as they have to pay to become seller. And they can get banned too.

Few years ago me and my friends used it in school. We saw that you can buy whatever you want there,such as weapons,drugs,women (for real).... Couple of days later police came to school looking for the person who did that (us) and also internet provider called our school that they will shut down the internet... professor told us that because he never thought that we are the ones who would that...nobody ever find out who it was,good old days
 
This is an interesting conversation and I'm glad I asked. Seems like a lot of people in the same situation as myself, not wanting to visit for fear of seeing something I can't forget. The animal abuse comment above hit home. Humans are fucked up and kill each other all the time and die all the time so it's kind of rolls off my back seeing images of crap like that but a person harming an animal is just fucked!

I have heard of lots of people using it to buy drugs and other illegal activities and that's all I have ever heard of it. I just find it interesting there is this whole other part of the internet out there that not many people have visited.

Do those that use it find that they are more susceptible to viruses and scams?

I used to buy a few shit for social media and mostly browse
Funny thing after i bought the items there wele left a few $ in the shop
When btc price went 20k i had a look at every shop i visited and found out those small $ were 400$

Ebooks, exchange services, smm services, accounts(this one isn't really legal, but it's not really illegal so agencies wouldn't track you lol. Bunch of other services also, illegal and legal ones. Basically it's not illegal to use those marketplaces, it's illegal to buy ilegal services and items and those marketplaces allow those sort of things.
People are scared of deep web but you actually got many great communities, forums, chat rooms etc over there. And it can be very educational, you can learn a lot of stuff.
Most of those creepy stuff are just creepy pastas as agencies like nsa amd cia can track you down. It's a hard job for them, but it's possible. So until you do some serious shit, no one will check you out.

You saw everything in one day? on school firewall? the speed was enough to download tor and load sites behind 3/4 proxies?

Start with tor and hidden wiki.
 
Back in the original silk road days I used it quite a bit but not been on the dark web for years now
 
I used it out of curiosity... Going through similar forums as BHW, but a lot of times end up on some fucked up sites..
 
I was a customer so FBI can't get a shiieeet!
