Who complies with the GDPR?

Just to get an idea: who here respects the GDPR?

Who is afraid of taking a sanction from the authority in charge of GDPR compliance in their respective country?

For non-Europeans: it's a text that governs personal data and it's thanks to this bullshit that we're all obliged to have a "do you accept cookies?" banner on our websites.

Here goes: I scrupulously respect it on three sites. I don't give a damn about the others. I have a "personal data" page where I list the services and stuff I use, but that's about it for other sites.

I don´t really yet, here is a source for fines and it seems mostly bigger companies and organisations are the target so far.

Here, I didn't know about this platform, thanks for the reference.

That's my impression too: that the authorities in charge of enforcing this text are primarily targeting the big entities, and that the small ones are generally left in peace.

outside EU there is no GDPR, they can do whatever they want and collect as much information they can without asking you, sad but true.

Though we're not a big company, we're working towards GDPR compliance since we handle some personal data in our business. We're a global business with clients from various countries, including the EU.

It's not just a source of headaches for us, but also a source of peace. Knowing we're compliant means no sudden surprises or penalties for non-compliance. Better to be safe than sorry.

I salute your approach.
As far as my business is concerned, I try to do everything right.
But I feel like I'm spending my life fighting with legislation and ball-breaking regulations rather than doing my job.
