Who can you trust?

Looking for advice and, honestly, to give money away to the right people. I've been on this forum for years but with the hundreds of BSTs and service providers out there I have - at best - half an idea of who the reliable, quality-focused providers are.

I own two brick-and-mortar businesses with coverage of both east and west coasts of the USA. I'm looking for reliable providers who offer a stable, consistent quality of service that I can rely on month-in-month-out without having to vet through dozens of BSTs.

So who do you trust? Happy to hear from members who have had positive experiences and can vouch for an SEO provider on here. The reviews on the threads themselves need to be taken with a huge pinch of salt, so I'd rather get an actual recommendation for someone who knows their stuff and focuses on delivering quality - not cheapo garbage that'll do more harm than good.

I believe @MisterF offers SEO services , maybe start there ?

I haven't tried his service, but as a moderator - it shows 1) you won't be treated unfairly 2) he has good moral judgement/actions or else he wouldn't be a reputable mod. especially if let's say - he sold garbage. I'm sure it wouldn't fly as easily & the word would spread alot faster.

SEO providers on here, I mean. It's a mixed bag and I'm just looking for some people I can rely on and stick with long-term.

Any opinion you receive will be, at best, biased. There isn't a better BST that the one in my signature at any given time that this message is read....

Now seriously. You can't trust anyone here: if someone recommends anyone else, there will be some kind of good relationship or friendship between the two, or just a matter of respect on authority that doesn't guarantee any degree of quality. Check iTrader feedback which generally is an adequate indicator of service (not always), and also, ask for a test. If you have a shop that sell paint accessories, which would be your "provider" process to sign a contract with your next paint galon provider?

If you are reading the reviews, check the type of people who are leaving the reviews. Johnny 1 post saying his viagra keyword is now number 2 on page 1 after 3 days by spending $79 isn't really going to be believed.

Ask the sellers questions, if you are wanting more information.

Ask the sellers questions, if you are wanting more information.

And if you ask questions and the seller refuses to answer them publicly - that's a huge red flag for me.

Yeah I've narrowed down a list of a handful of people who seem to have generally-good repute on the forum. Just looking to increase the list a bit. I'd be a happy camper with a half-dozen people I know are solid and can always be turned to, that's the goal.

Not if it's members vouching for other members they've tested, which is essentially my hope.

I like the way you are going through the process and thinking... spend some time building a list of those you believe would provide a quality service and put that list in your pocket so you can add or subtract from the chosen ones on there.

It beats some of the shotgun approaches we see all the time and shows some real maturity on your end.

You will have to spend some money testing and experimenting. Choosing the right service providers goes far beyond expertise and integrity. The ideal working chemistry between the two of you will make a world of a difference. If you hire two people for you project, their ability to work together in harmony towards a common goal is far more consequential than their respective skill levels. Two brilliant guys fiercely engaged in a juvenile pissing contest will ruin your mission.
