It’s an easy question to understand. We’re just trying to figure out a method to “trend” on SoundCloud. They have a curated list of the top played songs weekly that gets loads of organic traffic just because they’re on the playlist.

Well,then you need to get on that playlist.
If you look in the marketplace probably you'll just find people selling soundcloud plays but I don't think you'll need only lots of plays.
Behind the playlist there's a curator,so you have to impress him by convincing him that your music is good and that people LOVE your shit.
You'll definitely need lots of plays but also decent social profiles,many articles or interviews and after you're this popular you can hope to get featured in 1 or more playlists on soundcloud and maybe on spotify.
But the easiest way ever is to find who's behind the playlist to offer him 200 dollars.
Then he'll surely feature you in his playlist by any means
